I understand your frustration, but the Hyatt Harborside is a lovely hotel overlooking Boston Harbor.... no street parking, but with the metro service nearby by shuttle and the water taxi RIGHT THERE, access to aquarium, fanuel hall, etc.,Boston proper and (by the T)Cambridge/Harvard Square is easy. Overall, a newer and nicer facility than the Cambridge Hyatt with much better access overall. You won't feel like you're overcome by planes... you'll likely never notice the airport especially this time of year!

$57/nite for Jan 1-2/05. Downtown/Charlestown. Hyatt Regency Financial District (former Swisshotel). Tough bidding on this one, but I had read that prices were high in boston most recently, and only wanted this district, as it was for my mother to see Lion King show and wanted her to be close.EXCELLENT LOCATION for that show in particular (Opera House), as the Hyatt parking garage is where many of the theater-goers parked, so they walked back to the hotel in a group of people and felt quite safe even late at night. Not a lot of things CLOSE by, though Chinatown nearby, just not real close. She loved it and said the 3rd fl lobby made her feel safer than other hotels.

Just what we were looking for; at first we were put into a high-floor but "lesser" room until we complained, then put into a newly redone executive room overlooking the Charles River....all for $49/nite!! I checked other sites and the best I found anywhere for this hotel for the same dates was $170! Safely parked free on the street behind the hotel. Shuttle service to T was a bit of a drag, but o.k., and the rotating restaurant was closed, but overall....a nice stay at a great price. :)
