  1. Original bid was $40. Received counter-offer for $48. Declined counter-offer. No free bid regions for 2.5* hotel. Waited 24 hours. New bid $42. Bid was accepted.
  2. This is a 3* hotel. I bid for a 2.5* hotel and was upgraded to a 3* Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Guests Per Room: 2 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $46.00 Taxes and Fees: $12.61 Total Room Cost: $58.61 Refrigerator placed in room on request. Breakfast not included. Parking included in adjacent garage.
  3. Dates of stay: Wednesday October 3 and Thursday October 4 Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $52.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Guests Per Room: 2 Number of Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $104.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $25.12 (USD) Total Room Cost: $129.12 (USD) Hotwire was offering a hotel which was clearly the Sheraton, for $67 for those same nights. By the way it appears that you can bid on a 4* hotel in this airport region. Has the Crowne Plaza been upgraded? The Crowne Plaza is listed as a 4* hotel on Priceline's regular hotel searches.
  4. Opening bid of $40 was rejected. I was offered the opportunity for a free re-bid only if I increased my bid by $12. Armed with the information provided by this board, I declined that offer. I rebid for free by adding Midway Airport zone (knowing there were no 4* hotels in that zone) and upped the bid to $43, which was accepted for the Hyatt Regency on Wacker Drive. Taxes and fees = $13.62 Thank you for your assistance.
