  1. Probably not the best deal for this property, but the current retail rate is about $140 on their sites and other hotel booking sites. Staying here b/c they have free wi-fi, awesome location, and a cool bar. The reviews for this property make finding it a dead giveaway, everyone mentions how "unique" it looks. Only icons are "boutique hotel, internet, and smoke-free" rooms.
  2. There was no SPA icon for this property when I booked it yesterday, even though the hotel does have spa facilities.
  3. This could also be the Signature at MGM Grand. I believe all their rooms are condos. I would attempt to stay there if you do not get PH Towers. There's also THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, but they are a bit more expensive. Honestly, for this price I would go for it. I've delayed booking on HOTWIRE and had to pay a lot of money on an overpriced lower quality room. If you are comfortable being off-strip there is also Trump, which is frequently $90 a night and also a condo.
  4. These are the amenities: Resort Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby You should also note that their listing says they are "gathering reviews" for this property. I am going to contact them to ask why Monte Carlo is now a 4 star when every other hotel site clearly lists them as a 3.5 or 3. I don't know what they have done to warrant an upgrade.
  5. Great deal on the Palazzo! I checked their site out and their rooms are in the $230 range! And for a weekend night on Halloween...doesn't get any better than that :)
  6. I am in utter disagreement with the star designation for Monte Carlo... always thought it was a three or 3.5 star at BEST. In any case, this is what I ended up with and we all know HOTWIRE does not give refunds. Beware!
  7. I've seen this fluctuate from $159 down to $139 in the past two weeks. Decided I didn't want to take my chances and got it for $143 tonight. It's the only 4 star on the Central Strip available right now, and is a deal compared to the $169 TI is asking for. I reserved with them as back up and HOTWIRE is saving me about $50 total, which is nice. I knew what I was getting because I checked tripadvisor.. Planet Hollywood (another 4 star central strip with an almost identical amenities list) has a 3.5 rating and TI has 4. Looking forward to being so centrally located!
  8. TI has a higher trip advisor rating than planet hollywood, that's one thing you can check.
  9. For your price range, I would try Luxor or Monte Carlo. Luxor is right next door to Mandalay Bay and often goes for about 100 a night or less. Monte Carlo also goes for around that price range. Anything else south strip might be too expensive or not the star level you are looking for.
  10. Wynn & Venetian are both on North Strip. 4 star strip south would be mandalay bay, MGM grand, NYNY, Paris, and Luxor.
  11. Thanks for the reply, however, the original reservation was made on PRICELINE, not HOTWIRE.
  12. The only person who needs to be 21 is the person checking in, they don't care who stays in your room with you. The thing to be wary of is noise. To avoid this, stay into places that cater to younger people. The other thing is all the clubs are going to check ID, so that might cause problems. The best places for young people to party in Vegas are off the strip: Hard Rock & Palms are both hotels that cater to people in their 20s. Cabs are everywhere in Vegas, so getting around to the Strip won't be an issue and during the day, the Palms has a shuttle. On the strip, I would check out MGM, New York New York, Treasure Island, and the Venetian. The very last one is pricey but all the rooms are suites and you can easily split it up between a lot of people. The Venetian also has Tao nightclub which you might be interested in. Luxor has the Cathouse club which I like and also LAX, which is fairly new. Ceasar's Palace is also a little older, but they have the club PURE and lots of interesting people. I would avoid downtown, or hotels like excalibur and circus circus. Good luck and have fun! :)
  13. I was hoping to get either a room at the MGM or Paris and ended up accepting HOTWIRE's counteroffer to my $90 4 star bid. To my horror, I ended up with Luxor. I was shocked b/c Luxor is considered a 3.5 star on every other site. I've never stayed there but I've gone to some of the clubs in the hotel and it's not my kind of place. For the obscene total of almost $400, it was not worth it. To add insult to injury, I checked Luxor's site and the total for the same dates would have been around $346, not to mention I'm almost certain hotwire had them going for $99 a night, but I was chasing the bargain high and wanted to see what would happen. I am now terrified of picking strip south. Anyway, I was able to get them to cancel the reservation. I won't say how, but trust that it can be done. I did it all over e-mail and it was taken care of extremely quickly. Now, back to HOTWIRE... hoping once again for a decent 4 star!
