2nd time I have won this hotel in 30 days on the 3* @ $30 bid. Was looking to get back into the Hyatt Place I won in October for the same price. No continental breakfast at the Holiday Inn but still a really good facility, pleasant staff and great location close to shopping and food. Had to make a mad dash run to Chicago at the last minute to get some product to a customer Wasn't sure about the last minute night before booking, and if I could get what I wanted, plus its Thanksgiving week! UGH! I like Oakbrook and Hyatt Place is my favorite. First bid, 3* for Holiday Inn down the street - $30. One night stay and checking out the day before Thanksgiving, can't beat that, and Oakbrook is a steal! This is a wonderful property and #1 on my multi-State sales route. Oakbrook area right off Butterfield in the shopping disrict Bid 3*/$30 for "Oakbrook zone" and should hit on this.

Update: This place is the former Sheraton Hotel & Conf Center at the I-77 & I-480 cross roads. Very little freeway noise! Woo hoo! Decent hotel, probably built in the 70's but the rooms are nicely appointed more upscale. Front desk said it was remodeled about 3 years ago. Very professional staff like you would expect in a Sheraton or Marriott. Marriott style fluffy pillows and comforter, good quality mattress. First room they gave me smelled like 1970's stale Lucky Strikes but the second was odor free. (Hotel is completely non-smoking). Large round pool, two cookies upon check in! Complimentary continental breakfast in the restaurant, Starbucks coffee in the room. Ala Carte Breakfast options available downstairs all under $10. Room service menu Under $9 for burger or chicken sandwiches, $16-$25 will get you a deluxe dinner including a filet for a nominal $32, and a nice wine list :) Location is excellent for my local sales travels in the area and about 10 minutes to the airport for air travelers. The economy is taking its toll as the place is seriously lacking occpancy. I counted about 10 cars :) "Heeeeeeeeres Johnny!" However, for $30, I'm putting the Skyline on my Cleveland preferred list and will be back to stay again, it is a $100+ room in normal times :o Give it a try!

I'm on a roll with these $30 rates! Haven't seen anything this low in Cleveland (and booked last minute, 2 days before the arrival). Used PRICELINE link here Cleveland (Independence) OH which is SE of city about 15-20 minutes. Good hotel for the price, great location for me. Older hotel but well kept. Room was oddly small in the back of the building with a single bed. If you have a family, maybe they would upgrade but I was by myself. No big deal. I was put on the freeway side which wasn't too bad but there must have been a freight train every half hour until about 2 AM. No continental breakfast at this site but most double trees don't. Has a restaurant and a bar. However, at this price, I will stay there again because thanks to the positive attributes (and the cookie) :) Staff was exceptional as you would expect from a Doubletree!

Used the PRICELINE link from this site 1st try - requested 2.5* @ $30 and it bumped me up to 3* and accepted bid booked 10/22 for stay from 10/27 to 10/30 $30 night $7.68 tax I think this is the lowest Columbus North rate for a 3* on this forum! Back again this week, used PRICELINE link 3* north Indy keystone a no go. dropped to 2.5* nope. Selected all areas for $35 and accepted. Fairfield Inn And Suites By Marriott Indianapolis Airport 5220 West Southern Avenue Indianapolis, Indiana 46241 $35 night $105 $25.59 tx I stayed here in 2005 and it was almost brand new if I remember correctly. Not many amenities near by except a Culvers. Quick run in to the city which is great! I don't recall any noise from the airport which is a couple miles away so dont let the "Airport" scare you. I paid $70 for this in 2005!!!!

This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in this year! Pretty new, room had a large L-shaped sectional, wide screen TV, fridge, comfy beds! Ultra trendy lobby and professional staff. Close to everything too! Continental breakfast had a tasty selection of fresh fruit , bagels, oatmeal, yogurt. Optional made to order breakfast can be ordered at the counter for under $8. Oh, has a mini bar in the lobby open until about 11! Can't go wrong in Oakbrook with all the amenities less than a mile away and a run into the city is 25 minutes without traffic. Hope this deal holds, I'm booking this next month if i can. :)

That's Jasper from my experience going there -- so remote and few choices that they don't give any hotels away -- even on Priceline! Unlike Chicago burbs which is a buyers market for rooms!

I've stayed at LivInn Sharonville several times for work travel --$70 non-priceline. It's older conference center but clean & effective. Down side is that there are no decent food amenities anywhere near this hotel. Get back on I-75 at E. Sharon and go north 4 miles to exit 19 - Union Centre Blvd / West Chester which is the newer shopping/sit down dining district just West off the freeway. Exit 22 - Tylersville Rd. has more fast food but good choices Hotels at UnionCentre were way out of my affordability range so driving 5 minutes is worth it for a cheap stay! :) I have to go to Cinci next month, I'm booking LivInn without hesitation!!!

3* Chicago (Oakbrook-Downers Grove) Hyatt Place Lombard, $30 ... 10/4/09-10/09/09 New to this site today and I used the BB PRICELINE link here as suggested. Successfully won this same hotel another member just got for the same price! 5 nights @$30 + $26.85 in total taxes. Hyatt Place Chicago Lombard 2340 South Fountain Square Drive Lombard, Illinois 60148 I'm launching my own business which will require constant road travel for the next 90 days. Conserving cash through hotel stays will pay off so big I can't begin to count right now! Almost too good to be true! I'll be a regular here now! Thanks!!! :)
