  1. I searched for 3 people and it came up with the same details, and the same price $89 for the dates, 22-24 Nov. We'd prefer 2 proper beds, so thinking getting it where this can be guaranteed would be best. Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pools Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access The TA rating is 3/5, but Sheraton is currently 3.5/5 on TA, maybe they don't update these often? As far as I can tell everyone who has brought with these features has gotten the Sheraton, the Hilton includes Golf I believe.

  3. Hi Through the site (which I wish I'd known about a few years when I did my 5 month US trip!!) I booked Sheraton in Back Bay/Copley Square for $104 a ngiht from 11-13 Nov. Thanks
  4. I'm looking at a 4* for 22-24 Nov. I think this one is the Sheraton: Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) High-speed Internet Access I also wanted a room with 2 beds, is there anyway of requesting this and it being guaranteed? Or is it more luck of the draw?
  5. I ended up with The Roosevelt Hotel New York at $150 a night for all 6 nights. I did stop bidding on the 4* at that price and went back to $120 for the 3.5* to try and save money! The reviews are very mixed but I'm really happy with the price and general area. Thanks so much for the help.
  6. I just wanted to confirm my re-bid zones. For 4* I have Brooklyn Chelsea Area Long Island City Madison Square Gardens Upper East Side So I bid Select 4* MTE, MTW, TS, CPS... Bid $120, if rejected add Brooklyn Bid $125, if rejected add Chelsea Area Bid $130, if rejected add Long Island City Bid $135, and if rejected start again Select 4* MTE, MTW, TS, CPS & MSG Bid $140, if rejected add Brooklyn Bid $145, if rejected add Chelsea Area Bid $150, if rejected add Long Island City Bid $155, and if rejected start again Select 4* MTE, MTW, TS, CPS and UES Bid $160, if rejected add Brooklyn Bid $165, if rejected add Chelsea Area Bid $170, if rejected add Long Island City Bid $175, and if rejected go down to 3.5* and use zones, Chelsea City, Long Island City & Upper East Side???
  7. Correct, I'd like to try for a 4* first. And will be 6 nights, checking out on the 10th.
  8. I've had a look and CPS seems fine as well, it's a little further North than I wanted, but hey it'll make me walk more! I think I will to start with the 4*, it can't hurt can it and I may be lucky. The only thing is that I'm looking at 6 nights, the 4-9 of November. I'd prefer to try and stay in the same place, but willing if I don't get something to try and split the bid into 2, 3 night stays. So in summary, looking at MTE, MTW, TS & CPS, 3.5* or above. The most I'd like to spend is $175 a night, but that's the top end of the budget. So would like to start around the $110 mark and work myself up. I've read a few people have had success in the TS area with a 4* at $122 a night, which is amazing, so aiming (wishing, dreaming? hoping!) for something like this!! Happy to start bidding over the weekend....
  9. I get that, if you don't win, you bid in add an area that doesn't have the hotel * you're requesting. I'm more worried about making a mistake and putting a bid in in a area that has say a 2 or 3* hotel and getting that in error in an area I don't want to be. But I'm happy to give it a whirl I guess, if worst comes to worst I'll be in a area I've never been before!! Thanks for the quick reply!
  10. Love the site, have never used PRICELINE before, but this site makes it look like it's the best find ever!! So my question is this: I'll be in NYC from Nov 4-8/9 (depending on hotel price). I've been once before and stayed in the Sheraton on 7th, and loved the location as it seemed to be within walking distance of pretty much everything! Sadly that was when my parents were there and I was able to sleep for free! I'm now going again by myself (29yo female) and was thinking of staying in a similar area. SO, would say $150-$175USD a night be too little to pay for a 3.5* or 4* for the time listed in the area of either Midtown West, Midtown East or Times Square. I've read the posts about re-bidding but it seems a little confusing so not sure if I want to try this. I'm after safety, convenience, and something that's a little nice as well! Thanks!
