  1. I stayed there in Sept. The hotel is old, but it is only a couple of minutes from U-K..and for that price it beats the Red Roof Inn. I paid 55.00 a night. Had I paid full price I would not have been at all happy, but for 55.00 it was good.
  2. Bid on Thursday 11-10-11, won and got the Holiday Inn Bowling Green for 52.00 a night for Fri and Sat the 11th and 12th. There are only three 3 Star Hotels in BG. Holiday Inn, Hilton Garden and Couryard..the Holiday is always available on PL. Not bad, the rack rate is over 100.00 a night.
  3. This is puzzling. My daughter plays college volleyball and we have a group that follows the team and we use Priceline when out of town. In one town it is always the same hotel that we end up at. For a 3 star it is usally anywhere from 45.00 on a good weekend to 65.00 I started the bidding last week at 49.00 and did not win the bid. I inform all others before they bid. On Monday I bid 60.00 and was rejected, a friend bid 60.00 later that night and it was accepted. So I wait 24 hours and bid 60.00 again and it was rejected again..minutes later another team member bid 60.00 and won the bid. Now three people have won bids at 60.00 while I have been rejected three times at 60.00. What gives?? It is because my 60.00 was rejected earlier in the week ???
  4. Almost every hotel in Traverse City accepts pets.
  5. I stayed last weekend in Lafayette IN and had a little issue with the front desk clerk. he hotle was pretty empty and I wanted a room with two doubles instead of a king. The clerk said "We don`t usually change Priceline rooms" kind of snotty. I use Priceline quite a bit and have noticed this attitude from time to time from the hotels desk clerks. It is like you are not a regualr guest because you did not choose the hotel or you are paying half price. Anyone else have an issue like this before?
  6. Won a bid at Best Western Plaza in East Layfayette on for Saturday 8-28-10 for 58.00. Hotlel is a little dated but clean. It was not very busy and the clerk wanted to put 3 of us in one room with only a queen bed and a rollaway. After a few minute of haggling we got a room with two doubles. Not sure why this was a problem since the hotel was way less than half full. The clerk did not seem to like that we booked through priceline because he said "We don`t usually change priceline rooms" Like we should be happy that we paid 58.00 and keep our mouths shut.
