$61.00 :) Won on first try 4*Hilton North Glendale. Bid for 3* but was upgraded to 4*. Hotel seems really nice but has $18 parking charge. I will be trying another area of Los Angeles later to complete my four day stay. Overall seems I got a really good buy because it is a legal holiday. Rooms for these dates go for $119 but go up to $189 once you go onto the 7th of July. Of course I booked my stay through Betterbidding PRICELINE link!!!!

Culver City Four Points is now 3* I guess I will try again tomorrow. I will likely try 3 nights Culver City and the last night Redondo or LAX depending on the outcome of the first three nights... My family would not be happy with less than a 3* star hotel. Really thought it would get cheaper close to my stay dates...thanks for all your help so far.
I have been bidding for 3* in Beverly Hills up to $75 and 3* Redondo up to $60 with no success. Can you please advise me about accessibility in early a.m. to sights and bidding strategy for Culver City hotels. Since it is only 3 miles to LAX am I better off bidding for a LAX hotel at a cheaper rate??? Thanks!!!
Just noticed that car rental prices have tripled for the week of the 4th in LAX..Do I book now or book a day before for cheaper rate????? Thanks in advance!!!!
Back in the game. Bid $67 for 3* Beverly Hills, $80 for 4* Beverly Hills and $58 for Hollywood and Redonmdo...All rejected!!!! Is something happening this week??? As an aside I noticed that car rental prices have tripled all of a sudden .
Still looking in to 2 1/2* zones in Redondo but will probably wait till next week and bid again for 3* in Redondo...only other idea is to break up vacation into 2 days Redondo and two days Beverly Hills.
What am I looking at in terms of time frames getting to the major sights in the a.am.??? Will I have to pay for parking every place I visit or should I take the metro...nearby????

Actually about 4 hours to go on a rebid...3* for Manhattan/Redondo would be preferable. I guess you are suggesting that I wait about a week or two before I rebid. I am looking for 2 rooms for four days...would I be better off breaking up the amount of the days???
I guess Manhattan Beach is my preference, but kinda worried that I will be upgraded to Crown at 3 1/2* if I bid too high. I would also accept 3* in Beveryl Hills.
