After rebidding several times using the zones without 4* hotels, I finally got the hotel I wanted for $90 / night. A little higher than normal (probably because I'm staying on weekdays instead of just the weekend this time), but still a huge savings over their normal rates. As always, thanks to BetterBidding.com! This time, I even remembered to click through one of the Priceline links here before bidding! :)

I was just attempting to get an Omni Hotel in the Dallas area following my standard procedure of starting with Las Colinas - Irving 4* at a lower bid, then adding Lewisville for a slightly higher bid, then adding in Dallas (Northwest) and finally adding in the 3.5* rating which in the past has landed me either the Omni Mandalay or Omni Park West hotels. However, Priceline has added a new 3.5* in Las Colinas and this time it's what I got stuck with. My "winning" bid ended up being the Marriott Dallas Las Colinas - Irving for $85 which in itself wouldn't be so bad if not for the fact I will either have to not use internet while there or fork over $13 extra per day. First time I've been disappointed. Oh well, live and learn for next time. I will have to change my methods in the future to compensate for this.

Just booked the Omni Mandalay for $85 after trying for $65, $70, $75 and then $85 using different areas with no 4* hotels to try different bids. The same reservation with the hotel directly would have cost a total of $319.70 after taxes. I paid $204.06 after taxes / fees for 2 nights through PRICELINE. Not as good as some of the other posters here that got $65 / night, but still a great deal for this hotel.
