Amenities: Resort, Beachfront, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Laundry Facilities, High Speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Kitchenette, Spa Services, Children's Activities I've been targeting this property for weeks and weeks and finally got lucky today! I'm very pleased, as I already had a reservation at $189 per night. Only problem is, I got so excited I'm not sure if I actually booked through the HOTWIRE link on this site. I'm pretty sure I did, but I had multiple windows/tabs open at once, cross checking amenities, and I hope I didn't accidentally book another way. I don't think I did. I'm still very, very new at this. Thanks for all the help this site provides!

I am so new to Hotwire and Priceline, that I'm not one to give advice, but I did want to share that I got the Wild Dunes last year at this same time (end of September/first of October) for $90 per night, I think, using the PRICELINE links on this forum. The place was beautiful and it took close to 30 minutes to get downtown from there. I also got the Mills House downtown, using Hotwire that time (I think), at a steal of a price, but it was for a Thursday night stay and we were given two double beds (not ideal for an anniversary trip!). If I remember correctly, I also booked closer to our travel dates. Hope this helps!

Got that extra night (9/24) at the Mills House! I'd decided Hotwire was the way to go, and when I checked today, saw a 4* in the Historic District that seemed to fit the Mills House amenities. It was listed at $69 and I didn't think I could beat that on Priceline, plus was maybe taking a greater risk on the hotel. Posted my success on the Hotwire forum. Thanks!

Hotwire showed the following amenities: Pool Restaurant Business Center High Speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby Using the information obtained on this site, I was able to accurately guess that this was the Mills House. We already had a reservation there on 9/25, so this result was perfect. Thanks!

I've done a bit of research on here and it does look like HOTWIRE may be the way to go. I think I can ID the property, but right now, prices are too high for me. I'll keep watching it and post again if prices come down, to see if my best guess would be your best guess. When people have gotten great deals there on PRICELINE, it seems to be right before travel. So, I will keep checking, but realize we could be making a last minute decision. I'll follow up with results if we do get that night. Thanks!

I'd like to stay at the Mills House on Thursday, Sept. 24th. We actually have a free night there on Friday, the 25th, through their rewards club, then two days at Wild Dunes, booked via PRICELINE using the link on this site. Now we're thinking of adding a day at the beginning of the trip, and if possible, would like to stay at the Mills House, so we're not staying in 3 hotels over 4 nights. I honestly hadn't decided on a max bid, but have seen this hotel go for under $100, so that would be great. I do appreciate you moving this comment to where it belongs, and any help you can give.

Did you specify just the downtown area when bidding? I would really like to get one night at the Mills House, and don't know how to increase the chances of getting them, so would like to know just how you bid. Thanks very much! First bid of $90 accepted on 9/8/09. Used PRICELINE link on this site. I recently discovered this site and learned a lot from it before bidding...thanks so much to all. This was my first experience bidding through PRICELINE and I am very happy with the results! Most of the credit goes to this site. I joined this morning, just so I could share my success. I do not know how to post the summary that shows all of the detail shown in the ideal PRICELINE post, but will be glad to add it if someone can tell me if I can still access it. Thanks again!
