Priceline "Name Your Own Price". Needed to sleep one night in Miami before my cruise, coming from Orlando with a car (that I may return in MIA). Very happy with my bid since Miami hotel prices are very high at that date. The hotel will offer me free parking, shuttle service, free breakfast etc. These amenities are really a plus since I use "name your own price". First time I bidded US$100 for Miami International airport area and failed. Than I tried Coral Gables and Cocunut Grove ( 3* and 2,5*) up to US$ 115. Reduced the price and included airport area again. Won!! Used the PRICELINE link above.

Thanks Romelle and Thereuare! I will bid once more. But as far I can see, SFO is a very expensive city and my booking.com reservation is a very good option and I think I may keep it. Beresford Arms for US$ 139.00, including breakfast and internet. It`s a reasonable hotel in a very good location. If I am supposed to get a hotel without free internet and breakfast, the price should be much lower or the hotel must be a 4* or 5*, what seems impossible in SFO, especially because my stay is long (6 days) and I`m not willing to split it. I tried the support page hotels links but I could not find anything better. I will let you know.

Very good rate, isn`t it? I had to split my stay because Saturday`s rate is much higher, especially 14th February. The same hotel (I guess it`s the same) is US$299.00 on Hotwire for this date. Valentine`s Day. I tried to extend my stay but they don`t accept my original offer (~US$90). They asking me for ~US$ 132.00. I may accept that one.

The bidding was in R$ - R$ 230,00 per night -, but it`s approximately US$90/night.

Actually, I don't mind it I get a lower star rating as long the hotel is a good one. I usually choose more than 3* when I bid just because I'm afraid of what will come. But if the hotel is known and it's good, no problem in taking even a 2.5*. I'm opened to many locations as long as they're near the important sights or public transportation and restaurants. I'll check your suggestion of RefundableRates.com as well - but I guess I will get something from my bidding this weekend. Thanks!

2/3 to 2/9/2015. I would be really happy with a rate of less than US$100.00. The reservation I've made through booking.com has a rate of US$ 139.00 (Beresford Arms),and it includes breakfast. It's a good rate, but I would like to make it better, if it's possible. I've seen (here, in betterbidding.com) someone getting Hyatt (without breakfast) in FW for US$ 88.00 - that seems great. I didn't know I could also try Financial District. I thought it wouldn't be a great place at night (I don't go to pubs and or things like that, but I need restaurants - even McDonald's! - around). So I will check it too. Thanks.

I'm traveling to San Francisco with my husband in February. At first I decided to stay in Union Square area (I suppose US East - Nob Hill is the best place) . But now I am more concerned about my budget since US$ exchange rate is getting higher. My son stayed in a hotel in Fisherman's Warf area and recommend it, but I would like to hear from people who know SF better. Should I bid in Fisherman's Warf? Needed a hotel for one night, before I travel to San Francisco. Airport shuttle was essential, that's why I prefered use Hotwire. I guess I could get a 4* hotel in airport zone in Priceline (South Point or Green Valley Ranch) with this amenity, but I prefered to avoid the risk of getting a hotel without it. Finally I booked the room near Miami airport. Amenities shown: Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Airport ShuttlePool(s) Business Center Self service laundry Internet access At first, there was an information about Hotwire customs recommendation: 75%. I cannot see that information anymore. Tripadvisor: 3 of 5. There was another hotel about the same price that got 4 of 5 of Tripadvisor's reviewers but only 55% in Hotwire customs. I've chose that one because I think that Hotwire customs reviews are more relevant in this case.

Thanks! So I'm trying hotwire but it seems that the site is not working by now. Crowne Plaza and Red Roof are possibilities if I won't find something suitable with hotwire. Red Roof is cheap but Crowne Plaza is a little bit more expensive. I'll let you know my choice afterwards.

Hi there! My son's girlfriend is going to travel with us to Miami and to the cruise but she will arrive the night before our arrival because the flight ticket price was much better. I was trying to book a hotel near the airport using Hotwire or Priceline (used the links above) and I've read many useful posts here. But then I realized she is just 18 years old and both sites demands the primary guest be 21. I called booking.com by phone and they told be it's not because of the American (or Florida) law but because of the hotel policy. Is that correct? Because in Brazil you are no longer a minor after 18 and you can drink, book a hotel and so on. In this case, do you have a suggestion about what site I should use to book the room? Thanks!

I've checked the rate using the link you sent but the prices (from Priceline) are higher. In Marriott site the total cost (including tax) is US$ 622.63 and Priceline is US$ 696.07. But I didn't give it up yet. I'm still checking Hotwire prices and bidding in Priceline (who knows whether I can get a 5* hotel in SoBe for $100.00?).

I decide to make a reservation in Winter Haven, Marriott site, for US$ 178.00/n for 3 people. It's not a great deal but I need a "b" plan if I don't find a great deal in Hotwire. At least it's supposed to be a smoke free hotel and the location is great. I didn't find Marriott link in Betterbidding support page. I still have to decide where to stay between 8/5 and 8/8. Don't know whether it's worthwhile to rent a car and travel north (Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach or Boca Raton) - I don't know any of these places. I need to take my flight back 8/8 at evening and would like to spend a day in Sawgrass Mills. That's why I think it's not worthwhile pay the expensive Miami stay (plus parking) if I'm going to Fort Lauderdale. My ideia is to stay 3 days in South Beach without a car a 3 days in another place north Miami. Thanks for your help.

I was looking for Beacon Hotel but I guess it`s all right, though the hotel is a little bit dated and the breakfast is not as good as Beacon`s. This is the price for 3 people. 2 people would drop down to US$ 127.00.
