  1. We got this hotel $36.00 a night about $43.00 with taxes. Will review when we return.
  2. This hotel seems like a good deal, but I routinely don't stay in two star hotels. Check in tonight 10/22 and checkout Friday 10/24. It lists the following: Free parking in green Free breakfast in green Free Internet in green Pool(s) in black Business center in Black Don't see meuch activity to try and ID myself. But 90% favorable for $36, seems good. Thanks
  3. Thank you, sorry our postings crossed while I was typing (I'm slow). I'll let you know what happens.
  4. Whilw waiting for a reply I have found that if I put two rooms down they price out two distinct rooms. It seems that search results frquently show examples of the hotels, no number of bedrooms listed, Condo 1 bedroom suite and occassionally two bedrooms. They seem to disappear from inventory to fast to get help Identifying. I have seen one recently it is I South 80% TA approval , 3* free parking, full kitchen, 2 bedroom suite, laundry in room, pools, fitness center, self service laundry. It DOES NOT appear to have free internet like the one I saw a few hours ago. Any idea which condo this might be? It seems the only way to find condos is to scrool through search results looking only at condo then the number of rooms. Is thuis the way to do it?
  5. I believe that I have now reposted and put my final actions on the threads. I normally post wins when I get them, although I may have used different email addresses. My original question is if I want two bedrooms do I put two rooms down, or does that just get two different room in the same Hotel. I want one Condo that has two bedrooms (or more). When I last searched Hotwire from this link I am now finding in the details that it is listing some with two bedrroms but many times it is just showing Hotel rooms. Do I need to increase the number of guests and show one room or increase the number of rooms? Right now I'm seeing a few on I South with 80 or 85% approval ratings. Thanks
  6. To close thread I used FF miles and stayed at Marriott Courtyard Midtown East.
  7. Believed I stayed at W New York Midtown at $166. Believe I posted win under an email I no longer can post or access..
  8. As I said on July 2, 2012. I stayed at the Marriott using their website and my Military discount. Knowing the hotel with a gauranteed price was better thasn I could find on Hotwire.
  9. To close out this thread I chose to stay in a Brooklyn apartment for the week.
  10. I think I have found a three bedroom before but forgot how. My wife, adult daughter and granddaughter would like to share either a 2 or three bedroom condo. Is there a way to bid for more than one bedroom? We would like to start around April 6 and depart April 11th. Thanks
  11. Breaking it up is a good idea, I didn't even think about that. Thanks and I'll keep you informed.
  12. Most of the Express deals I have seen are in the $270 - 300 range. So still a little high. I can normally get a rate of around $240 at some Marriott Properties but after adding taxes the total price is over $2000. Right now I'm trying to bring it in closer to $1200 but tomorrow I'll try some 3 1/2* Right now I've been just looking at 4* basically trying all over the City adding an area then increasing the bid by a few $. I may also try to identify the the 3* in Long Island City to see if it's the Holiday Inn. I'll try rebidding tomorrow after waiting 24 hours using your link. Thanks
  13. Looking for a hotel in Manhattan 5/14-5/21 saw the win at the Algonquin and I went to Priceline and saw Express Deals and this almost looks like their regular hotels. Is there a strategy I'm missing on or is this something that get better closer to actual travel dates. Both wins had good prices. We would like a nice hotel preferably near a subway but understand that is probably impossible to guarantee. Thanks.
  14. Thanks I have a Marriott at a good price so I think I'll stay with it unless price drops again in next few days. I appreciate your help and will continue to book HOTWIRE through your portal..
  15. Just checked Hotwire and saw a price of $187 for A Midtown Central 3 1/2* arriving 7/9 departing 7/14. 95% approval rate Trip Advisor. Have a good rate at Midtown East Courtyard but this maybe better. I would appreciate help in identifying so I can compare. Thanks Amenities: Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), High-Speed Internet Access
  16. Still trying to figure out a Midtown Eat stay arriving February 9th departing February 13th - 4 nights. Hotwire rate $99. Amenities: Restaurants, Business Center, and High-Speed Internet Access. 90% Hotwire approval rate. Seems like this was recently but just wanted to check to see if you have any better guess. Thanks
  17. Well I'm still going to look for a while. Trip Advisors had some pretty brutal reviews for the Intercontinental. I would be happy with the Hyatt, so maybe I will look for a four star with a few additional amenities so we i can get a better idea of the hotel. We like the Mid Town East area but can go to a Marriott Courtyard in the Upper East Side, not as convenient but at least we know the room will be nice for about the same price. Any other thoughts on a nice hotel in the Midtown area? I'll keep you advised, I have looked at Price Line winning bids and I'm thinking this 4* (now at $119 is the Continental).
  18. Just wanted you to know I used an auction site and was able to get the Cypress Palms for $220 for the week. Thanks for your help, I'll continue to use HOTWIRE and Better Bidding.
  19. Need some help identifying a 4* Midtown East with a 90% approval rate. hot wire quote is $126. Amenities include: Fitness Center, Restaurant(s),Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access,Tennis Nearby. Thanks
  20. Just rechecked from link on this site for 1/9 arrival 1/16 departure and 4 star 95% approval rating has shown up again as well as a two bedroom at 80% which I think is Tuscana. Two adults no children. Do they allow smoking in hotels in Florida?
  21. Yes, I plan on starting 1/9 and depart 1/16. I just rechecked and don't know if it changed but it is now $84 and 90% approval ( I may have had it wrong). Tuscana appears to be $61 on the same search.
  22. Plan to check in January 9th for a week, two adults, price $88 a night. Condo is listed as Lake Buena Vista - Downtown Disney area condo. Amenities listed are; Resort, Free Parking, Fitness Center, Pools, 24-hour Front Desk, High-Speed Internet Access, and Condo. Approved by 95%. On our previous trip we stayed at Tuscana (posted win here) but are thinking of a little nicer resort this time which is more centrally located (Although if the other Condo I see at $57 a night is Tuscana we may still do it). The Resort fee scares me because as I understand it, it can significantly up the price with marginal value. Any clue on what it would be at this property? Thanks.
  23. We are planning on 5 days in NYC leaving after the parade on Thanksgiving (assuming scheduled flights actually occur). We are looking for nice hotel and are willing to catch thwe subway to Times Square. We saw a 4* with the following amenities: Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Spa Services for $166 and for $50+ savings per night it seems like a good deal. Thanks for any help you can give. We usually stay in Jersey City at Courtyard but though being in the city would be a good change. We will post what we do but I'm not in a hurry yet.
  24. I went ahead and booked and it at Tuscana Resort. We recieved it at $80 a night and total cost of $646. Arriving May 24 for 7 nights. We booked it through your HOTWIRE link. Thank you for your help. Based on TripAdvisor most people are very satisfied with this resort and I hope our experience is as good. Is there something I should do to post it as a win on the Calendar of wins. Thanks again thereuare we did it again.
