yes, we enjoyed our stay there. i didn't go through HOTWIRE or PRICELINE so i don't have any upgrade or downgrade comments. the room was really spacious for a DT hotel. will stay there again. staff was friendly, but the bar staff was a bit too pre-occupied. breakfast was good too. however, even tho our room was on the 25th floor, we could still hear sirens at night :). and the duvet was really thick. we put our thermostat to 69 and it was still hot at night, only in bed though. everywhere else the room was cool.

i stayed at the Inter-Continental hotel (on 888 howard st) 3 weeks ago and yes, their pool is closed for repairs. but they are letting their customers use the pool at the marriott a few blocks down. you can call them to double check that that is still true.
