  1. Booked this hotel for a weekend Christmas shopping trip with family. I am quite pleased with my purchase. I love its close location to Union Square and SF Shopping Centre. I booked two rooms so I called the hotel a few days ago directly to request connecting rooms and the staff treated me like a king - not riff raff as some Priceline and Hotwire bookings will get you. I am looking forward to this quick trip to my former hometown.
  2. An awesome deal for a great hotel. Have stayed here in the past and love it. The Palomar's location can't be beat and rooms are comfortable and well appointed.
  3. First bid $86 got the Grand Hyatt. Stayed here before, it's an awesome property with an ideal location. Hyatt.com is offering a "Low Rate" of $135 on that date.
  4. Was it the Glendale Hilton or the Sheraton?
  5. Ok so when I checked in yesterday, I gave the gentleman at the front desk my Starwood number - I then asked for a renovated king room on a higher floor. He told me that priceline rooms are smaller and near the elevators. I then asked for an upgrade; there was cost $35. I took him up on his offer and got a beautiful corner king on the 25 floor. IMO it was worth the extra expense. Good luck to all the St. Francis priceline folks out there - from the looks of things on this board there's a lot out there.
  6. I have read on Tripadvisor and Yelp about about the St Francis giving Priceline customers the worst rooms in the hotel available - not renovated, near construction, behind the elevator, view of brick wall etc. I'll see what happens tomorrow after I check in.
  7. I have read about the dreaded Pricleine rooms at the St. Francis- I'll follow up after my stay and let you know how it goes.
  8. Hey congrats on the InterContinental - is the hotel listed as a customer favorite?
  9. Yes the date is Dec. 1 for one night. $89... could be a decent hotel. Maybe the Nob Hill Hotel or the Nob Hill Lamnbourne? Who knows. Definitely not the Fairmont, Mark Hopkins or the Rennaisance. Thanks!
  10. Amenities: Restaurant Customer Favorite I don't see it listed on the pinned list. Thanks a bunch.
  11. Fitness Center Restaurant, Business Center, High-speed Internet Access Trip advisor (3.5 out of 5) Based on:160+ customer reviews Last Reviewed:April 2007 Any help would be appreciated. Not sure if it's the Grand Hyatt or not. Thanks!
  12. 3-star hotel in Union Square East Cusomer Favorite: Fitness, Rest., Business, High Speed Internet. Any info would be great! Thanks!
  13. Hi I actually have to be at an event in Brooklyn that evening so staying in or near downtown-soho is the best option for me. I can just hop on the 6 and I'm in like Flynn. Thanks.
  14. The only ammenity listed is restaurant. Does anyone know what this hotel is? Thanks! 3-star hotel in Downtown - SoHo This midscale establishment offers more than just the basics in style, comfort and customer service. See hotel details
  15. I got a great deal for my brother and his girlfriend visiting SF for the weekend. Good luck!
  16. Yes this is the Hyatt Regency in the USE-Embarcadero zone. It's right at the foot of Market St and the California St. Cable Car Line.
  17. Got a great rate for my parents who are visiting me in SF for the long holiday weekend! I think I could have gotten a better rate but who knows? $72 is very good in my book. Especially when hyatt.com is offering $149 a night.
  18. Got the Westin Embassy Row for $100 a night a huge bargain -- it's $235 on Westin.com. First bid was 4 star Dupont circle (one location only) $85 -- rejected, but I was told for $20 more I'd get a 4 star in the same neighborhood. I've stayed here before (2 years ago it was $85 a night and only 3 stars) using PriceLine and was happy to that I got it again.
  19. i am thinking about the high demand rate due to the holiday. not only is it new year's but a three day weekend for most -- plus skiing in tahoe is only 25 minutes away. i don't want miss out on a good deal but also jumping the gun's not good either. what do you advise?
  20. That is quite alright! The Atlantis is not close to downtown at all. :) I am thinking about trying to bid for a 3 star. (or should I?) what should my next move be? i am locked out of a 4 star re-bid until Thursday...Thanks for the list!
  21. hello there. i prefer to stay in the downtown area -- the Atlantis is close to the airport. do you have a similar star breakdown for Priceline? that hotwire list is cool. Frank
  22. Hey thanks dates are 12/31-01/03. I bid 4 star downtown 80 -- not accepted. haven't tried 3 star yet. i don't want south area near the airport. Thanks again for any info.
  23. Does anyone know what a 3 star hotel might be? I am nervous about getting the Golden Phoenix or Fitzgerald. any info woudl be appreciated. Thanks! Frank
