  1. Started at $60 and increased by $5 (adding zones). After first bid, PL "countered" with $92. The prepaid rate on the hotel website is $127, so I am pleased with this win for an early morning flight on Sunday. Amenities: Free Internet (in Room), Indoor Pool, Shuttle, Non-Smoking, Gym, Restaurant, Business Center. $75.00 Room subtotal $18.58 Taxes & fees $93.58 Total
  2. Hi, all. I used the HOTWIRE link to book this stay. I figured it was likely the Westin, since a king room on Westin's website is $189 for these dates; however, the cheapest double (which I need) was $221 prepaid, so I still saved some money. Glad I waited to book, as the price has come down since I began researching. It's a trip with my mother and daughter (my daughter's first time), and the location is perfect. Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, In-room accessibility. Hotwire shows 95% customer recommended and 4 out of 5 starts on Travelocity. $185.00 per night x 3 nights x 1 room = $555.00 Tax recovery charges + fees = $165.44 Trip total (USD) $720.44
  3. I used the Hotwire link to book this. I don't have time to screw around with PL, and felt confident this was the Westin ("boutique," "pet friendly"). Saved $50 over booking directly with the hotel using the government rate, so I'm pleased. $80.00 Rate per night x 2 Nights $160.00 Subtotal $41.04 Tax recovery charges + fees $201.04 Hotwire total Pet friendly Boutique hotel Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Accessibility •Accessible for visually impaired •Accessible for hearing impaired •Accessible path of travel •In-room accessibility •Accessible bathroom •Accessible parking •Roll-in shower
  4. I used the Priceline link and saved a few bucks. Payless has a prepaid economy car for $19/day, but really, why pay more? Hertz: $14 per day x 2: $28.00 Taxes and Fees: $22.34 Total Rental: $50.34
  5. Oops! Here they are: Free breakfast Free Internet Fitness center Pool(s) Business center Self-service laundry Internet access Accessibility Accessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impaired Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Accessible parking Roll-in shower
  6. I wanted a decent place outside of the city and used the Hotwire link to save a bit over the going rates. Additional $66.38 in taxes/fees. Free parking Free breakfast Free Internet Fitness center Pool(s) Business center Self-service laundry Internet access Accessible for visually impaired
  7. I used the PRICELINE link and re-bid zones for this win, which came in $16 less than what appeared to be the same hotel offered through PRICELINE EXPRESS. I'm satisfied with the win, which is a one-night stay before an early flight; I needed a shuttle and free parking. $63 + $17.27 (taxes/fees) = $80.27 Free Internet (in Public Area) Free Parking Pet Friendly Outdoor Pool Shuttle Non-Smoking Gym Restaurant Handicap Accessible Business Center
  8. Using the HOTWIRE link here, I booked this hotel for half the going rate of $109. There were two 3.5* options, the other of which had free parking (Radisson offers); both were "pet friendly" (Marriott doesn't allow pets), so I felt confident I'd get the Sheraton. Thanks again to all who post. $53 + $15.71 (taxes/fees) = $68.71 Hotel Amenities Free Internet Pet friendly Indoor pool(s) Airport shuttle Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Accessibility Accessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impaired In-room accessibility Accessible parking
  9. I used the Hotwire link for the above purchase of this easily-identifiable hotel. Amenities: Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet Access Accessible for the Blind Accessible for the Deaf Accessible Path of Travel $149.00 rate + 34.33 taxes/fees $183.33 total I'm happy with this purchase, as I saved $80 off the 7-day prepaid rate at the hotel website.
  10. I used the HOTWIRE link and easily identified this as the Michelangelo. I'm happy with the rate and looking forward to a theater weekend in the city. Fitness center Restaurant Self service laundry Internet access Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In room accessibility Accessible bathroom Roll in shower 90% recommended 4.5/5 TripAdvisor $408.00 Room ($204/night) $116.64 Tax recovery charges and fees $524.64 total
  11. I used the PRICELINE link and started low at $59, increasing each bid by $5, until I won this property for $79. The Priceline express offer was $86 for a 4* South, and I saw a previous post for a win at $79 in the same zone (at the Westin) so I figured I'd start low given so many re-bid zones. Room ($79 x 2 nights): $158.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $30.40 (USD) Total: $188.40 (USD)
  12. I used the board's PRICELINE link and bid as follows: $30 4* Strip South $35 added Boulder $40 added Henderson $45 added NW LV Closed Priceline and re-opened using the board's PRICELINE link: $45 4* Strip North $50 added Strip South $55 added Boulder Bid accepted! Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $55.00 Subtotal: $165.00 Taxes & Fees: $29.85 Total Charges*: $194.85 Thanks again for this site! Oh, and GO BUCKS! :)
  13. (NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc) Your rebid zones are all of the zones that do not have a 4* or 5* hotel, i.e., Boulder, Henderson, NW Las Vegas and Nellis. In the example provided earlier "zone 1" means YOUR first rebid zone, not PRICELINE zone #1. Your PL rebid zones appear to be #1, #3, #11 and #14, respectively--if you go back to PRICELINE (using the board's link) and choose those four zones you will see that a 4* hotel is not an option. As long as you keep your star rating at 4, start your bidding with PL zone #2-Fremont St. Vicinity, and only rebid using these four zones, you can only win the Nugget because it's the only 4* hotel available in all of those zones. I hope that helps. Using the rebid zones is easy once you understand it. :)
  14. I used the PRICELINE link to book 2 rooms at this hotel. Started at $40 (thought I might get lucky and there are lots of free bid zones so why not?!); re-bid in $5 increments up to $60 and then bid $62 since there were a few $61 wins at the Omni. I'm thrilled with the rate for this Mother's Day weekend trip; the hotel is offering rates at $109.65 (prepaid) and $104 (senior). Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $62.00 Subtotal: $248.00 Taxes & Fees: $50.28 Total Charges*: $298.28
  15. In looking at the hotels offered in the "vacation packages" on HW, #1 is a match for the GR Solaris, and #2's amenities match those for the Oasis Palm Beach except that the Oasis Palm Beach looks like it is in the City Center area, not North. Sorry I don't have more to offer!
  16. Is it just me, or has that not yet made it to the master list? I see the Grand Oasis (4*) . . .
  17. Sorry...my bad... Arriving 5/7/9, departing 5/11/9; I used the HOTWIRE link and then changed the search for three guests.
  18. I don't believe this one has yet been identified, but thought I'd post just in case I somehow overlooked it. Offered at $212 per night for three guests. Any ideas? 3.5-star hotel in Cancun City Center Vicinity This hotel features the following amenities: Resort Beachfront Food and Beverages Included A La Carte Dining Water Sports/Activities Included Evening Entertainment Included Daily Activities Included Complimentary Breakfast Children's Activity Program Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Spa Services All-Inclusive
  19. When I looked at those dates Saturday was considerably more expensive than Thursday and Friday; what's your budget goal?
  20. What's your budget? The Trump website is showing $215/night. Are you familiar with the bidding zones, rebidding strategy, etc.? www.tripres.com is showing Trump at $189 and Mandalay Bay at $204. I'm certainly no expert, but I'd think you can do better than that on Priceline. By the way, you know that Trump doesn't have a casino, right?
  21. Start by booking a "backup" that you can cancel in the event you find a better deal. That Monte Carlo deal is $55-$149-$179 for your dates, but I've never stayed there so I don't have any input on the hotel itself. What do you consider a "nice" hotel?
  22. New promo code TZWIN with rates of $59-$55-$55. The promotion isn't appearing under "promotions" tab, but I was able to input it into the "offer" box. Very happy my earlier bids were rejected, although I had to keep checking rates. I think your Monte Carlo link got a fair workout, however. Thanks again for a great board! 23. Is that a one-night stay? Are you looking for a 5*, but not Trump, or are you open to lesser-rated hotels? What is your budget?
