  1. $171 per night plus $25 resort fee. FULL AMENITIES: Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Spa, Childrens Activities, Pet Friendly Now I have a question, does HOTWIRE or PRICELINE discount the resort fees to conceal the identity of the hotel? I remembered when I bid on this hotel a few years back on Priceline, I don't remember any resort fees. But that may have changed with the hotel as well. Thanks BTW it was Sheraton. I used the BB HOTWIRE link to book it.
  2. For some reason, when I was typing I got distracted and typed in $174. I was going to type $140. This is the same price that I saw on Priceline Express prior to bidding. I really have to focus more when I am dealing with money. I wrote a check out in spanish instead of english while talking to my carpenter. Wish I was of more help. Thanks for your help!
  3. Sorry. I didn't realize the strategy would change for bidding due to time. Just how much should I reasonably expect to pay for a 5* at the August time frame in terms of bidding? From what I can tell the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals / HOTWIRE seem to be somewhere between 250~280 per night for 5* right now. Thanks
  4. I haven't started bidding. I was shopping around to see if there's anything acceptable before I start bidding. Just want to confirm the two rebidding zones are coney island and Harlem? Also, if I go 5 star would there actually be more rebid zones?
  5. Thanks for your help! Can you help identify a midtown west 3* hotel with only fitness center listed? Thanks
  6. Also, Can you help me identify this PRICELINE EXPRESS deal 3.5* hotel in MIdtown west? Fitness, Business, Restaurant, Free internet. From your list it seems to be Club quarters. But it has two bed choices. Thanks
  7. Thanks for the heads up residence inn. How about Courtyard Marriot at South Central Park. Do you see it come up more often then? Also, in your experience would two rooms have different outcomes then bidding one room at a time? Thanks
  8. sidenote, how much should I expect to pay for something like residence inn central park? Thanks
  9. Sorry about that. Yeah I can try 4* first and then work my way down.
  10. That's fine. I'm willing to try PRICELINE first. As I will be bringing a cot for my toddler and will need a crib for the infant anyways. Thanks
  11. Hmm.. I didn't realize there's a Hudson Hotel as well. I'm travelling with kids this time, so small rooms is probably not a good idea. Can you please provide a bidding strategy without CPS? thanks
  12. Whats the reasonable range to expect when bidding for these dates right now? Ok, wanted to edit the title to include Time Square, Central Park South as well. So its Time Square, Midtown West, and Central Park South. Friend's got a block of rooms at Courtyard but only from 8/7~8/9. So I'm thinking about just bidding myself from 8/6 instead of having to risk changing hotels. Thanks!
  13. I just see the ad mentioned on CNN a minute ago. The anchor did mention Priceline using the Ad to start the "end" to NYOP service on their website. Or atleast that's what I heard. I'm hoping she is wrong.
  14. So I had to go down to 3* and at $100 I was able to get River Inn Hotel
  15. Thanks. I tried to look up events online for Savannah that weekend and didn't find anything. I figured it would always be a special event that makes it harder to bid on priceline with historic prices. Hey,Sorry I've been swamped with other things lately. I'm trying to keep it around 80~90 range per night if possible. Thanks for your help.
  16. Hey Guys, I already tried these two from 60~75 and no luck. Are there special events going on that day? I saw some people were able to get room in range of 60~65 during non-holiday weekends. Thanks
  17. 2* Hampton Inn. Tried 1* $25 didn't work. Changed dates then tried 1* $30 didn't work. Tried again with $35 and worked.
  18. Hampton Inn Atlanta-North Druid Hills 2* $38. 1* Homestead is closed for good so had to do 2* and up.
  19. Yeah, its not bad. I was able to get a total refund of $100 because of their "double difference" policy. Since I know that priceline put beachwalk at 2.5*, do you think its possible that bidding with priceline might have gotten a lower price with the same hotel? And hotwire did have a resort for $225 so I guess that comes out to be around 250~260 after tax? The price was just out of my budget this time.
  20. I just called and was able to file a claim. If they are able to verify the rates within the promised timeframe, I'll probably save about $15. I guess its not too bad afterall. The lowest on beachwalks' website is 114.95 right now. But I'm glad to be of help. Also, I'm wondering if I would of gotten a better deal if I went with priceline? I went up to $75 with my bidding then I gave up.
  21. Funny how its actually cheaper on Beachwalk's own site than it is on hotwire for the same nights! I'm going to see if I can get a price adjustment from Hotwire or something...
  22. so i ended up going with the 3*... its beachwalk hotel, kinda dissapointed.
  23. I don't know if this would be the right thread to ask or not. But with the limited selection of hotels with priceline, what would the bidding strategy be if I would like a resort? My price would be anything up to $149 since thats what the current 3* is on hotwire. Thanks
