  1. Just some background on this property for future buyers. Rosslyn Metro is literally across the street which is great. Like most DC area hotels they charge 20$ a day for parking. Different food options within walking distance. Hotel clean with friendly staff especially front desk. All that being said the rooms just felt smaller than any standard room I've stayed in. It made for an uncomfortable stay when we were in the room. Even though it was a great deal next time I will try out a different property.
  2. I noticed some deals on this property recently so I figured I'd take a shot at it for my day trip today. Started bidding at $40 & increased by $2 until bid was accepted. This site is amazing & greatly appreciated on the money saved using information on here. Thank you. Off to take a nap & on to DC.
  3. $63 3 nights 2/12-2/15 had fitness, business, shuttle, non smoking and restaurant. A few days before I booked it was listed as low as $59. Same amenities.
  4. Using the information on the hotel list I booked the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington using the HOTWIRE quick quote on site. Good deal for 3.5* at $63. Has a continuous 30 minute shuttle to a nearby metro station so I won't have to drive into DC. The hotel has good reviews and look forward to the 3 day stay specially with BetterBidding's help in identifying it. Great site. The only thing I saw on the hotel's site that I did not notice on hotwire is the indoor rooftop pool. Thanks for the site, always recommend it to friends when looking for a good informative deal.
  5. First bid was rejected for $36. Second bid was accepted for $40. Taxes paid: $17.90 (USD) Booked hotel on 02/12/10. The hotel was close to a Metro-North station. The shuttle ride there was 2-3 mins. The staff was friendly and helpful. Upon arrival to our room the bathroom was dirty, urine all over the toilet seat. They moved us to a different room and gave us a complimentary breakfast buffet(bill for wife and I was $47). The manager Dennis left us a voice mail apologizing for the room and offerring to help us with any more issues. Overall a good experience. Just wish they had some sort of minifridge and/or microwave. If traveling to NYC the Metro-North express train ride is about 35mins from this hotel. Stay was booked using the PRICELINE link on BetterBidding.
  6. I tried to get a 4* in Atlantic City through Priceline but was unsuccessful. I started bidding at $45, 50, 55 and 60 with no luck. At that point I checked out Harrah's directly and was able to get $49 for the first night and $59 for the second. So I did not bother trying PL again. BTW Harrah's was very clean, they upgraded our room to their best tower at check-in, had plenty to do right on the property and had overall friendly staff. It was a good stay and I would stay there again if I go back to AC.
  7. Thanks for sharing BTManzy and thanks for the help thereuare. Im still a little undecided as to where to stay. I have also been looking at the 3.5* in downtown AC. Im doing research to find a hotel with an indoor pool since Im bringing my young daughter along for the trip.
