  1. Bid for 4.5 Star for downtown Indianapolis TONIGHT(driving in for a basketball game with family). Started at $76.00. Denied. Added 4 Star for $80.00 and got the Omni Severin Hotel! We wanted free breakfast at a Staybridge, but for the amenities and location(less than 5 minute walk to arena and tons of shopping), it was worth it. The same hotel was $130.00 elsewhere. The list of amenities from the website was way too long, but here are the main ones: High speed wireless Indoor pool Exercise gym Business center Pets allowed Restaurant Non-smoking rooms (generic) Cable television
  2. Also, I can't complain about the lack of valet parking at the Crowne...it was $18.00 a day at the Sheraton.
  3. Just won Crowne Plaza Downtown Dallas for $49.00 a night for 2 rooms(each). Dates are 4-6-12 thru 4-11-12. I started with Dwntwn 3.5 star at $49.00. No luck. Then added Dallas-Pinnacle Park for $51.00. Still no luck. Added 3-star and reduced bid to $49.00 and got the Crowne Plaza. Should be a great hotel and location. Forgot to post last year(same Easter weekend basically) that I got the Sheraton Dallas(Downtown) for about $60. I was expecting it again. We are a family of four and like to split the kids into a room next door. I called Crowne and they put in the request for adjoining rooms. They also placed the reservation under my Priority Club membership(points!). Thanks BetterBidding!
  4. I just found this website yesterday and it has saved me bunches! I went through the PRICELINE link here and bid $40 for a 4-star in Galleria-North. It was rejected and suggested I add $12 more. Taking the advice from this board, I rejected that. I signed back in and then bid $41.00 and added Galleria-North and Dallas-Downtown for a 4-star hotel. It was accepted. Because i am in Afghanistan and can't be exactly sure of flights, I added trip insurance for $20.00($5 a night) and the taxes and fees were $33.48. The total was $217.48. I called the hotel to express my need for double beds and the receptionest had no problem adding it to the reservation. Thanks! The regular rate starts at $126.00 a night! I began my bidding through the PRICELINE link here.
