I took a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for 4* at $119/night. Came up as Hyatt Regency. Note, evidently, Hyatt also now accepts pets.

I snagged this hotel on my 2nd bid.
First bid was $40.00 for 3.5* downtown, rejected. The screened popped up to big $50 for a retry. I could not bid lower than $50 so I canceled that screen and rebid by adding Madison East to the mix and raising the bid to $43 which was accepted. Free parking was included in this hotel. I'm happy. This hotel was listed on priceline for $109 a night if I didn't use the NYOP feature.

I used a $6/night bonuscash through Priceline, so winning bid was $46 (my share is $40).
First bid was for MSY for a 4*, I bid $40 ($46 w/ bonus cash) and it was rejected.
I added the area of French Quarter and added 3* with the same bid. Offer was accepted.
I stayed at this hotel last year and it was undergoing full renovation. It is a nice hotel, clean and new, convenient location, free parking - very comfortable beds, smoke-free. Nice outdoor pool area with a Jacuzzi. About 6 minutes from the airport and about 10 minutes from the French Quarter.
The dates I bought are during Mardi Gras so I am very pleased with the quality of this hotel at the price I snagged it for.

Added 3.5 and 3* for $68 - rejected.
Later in the day I used the Priceline app on my phone and bid $65 for ORD. Price accepted.
Priceline today shows that hotel for $119/night for the same dates. All rooms are suites. I am pleased with this deal.
And, after my bid was accepted I received an email with a $25 cash bonus to be used for 1+ night stay through Dec 31st at any hotel 2* and up.
Bid 2* for $60 - rejected.
Rebid including 1* for $65 - accepted. Surprisingly, there is still room available. There is a huge 4-day city-wide concert this weekend. Rooms are still open.

I first bid was $40 for the south hotel zone, (or $50 when discounted added). Offer was rejected.
I added the 4* category for the same zone and raised my offer to $48. Price was accepted.

Last week while at the Westin Diplotmat in Ft. Lauderdale I met a man who worked for this property's owners. He said he and his wife just stayed at the Cancun property in May and he paid $400 a night for the same property... so I almost feel like I'm stealing with the rate I received!
Thanks. I'm happy!
This also happens to be the weekend and evening of the d out Lady Gaga concert at the United Center, so I am doubly pleased with the pricing.
I initially selected 4*, was rejected at $56. Rebid by adding 3.5* and raising to $60. Won the Silversmith Boutique Hotel. Retails for $102 and up for the same nights.

Using the PRICELINE link, I too, bid $85 and won the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa.
When pricing through the Westin website, the best rate is $328 per night, and the same $328 rate was the best price through PRICELINE by seeing hotel names. I won the location on Ocean Drive. I am more than delighted!

Looks like they also offer port shuttle service for a fee, but airport shuttle is complimentary.

Considering I bought my Airfare for a freakishly low rate of $39.98 (that is NOT a typo), this trip will be a cheap vacation!
Bidding with short notice, I priced high enough to be confident the bid would be accepted. I was looking to stay in the Lake Geneva, WI area and selected Delavan as the best deal. It is approximately 16 miles from Lake Geneva. The listed price per night is $64.
First bid was $38 and it was rejected.

I added area 3, Fort Myers and raised the bid to $40.00 and it was accepted for Hotel Indigo in the River District.
Absolutely beautiful, clean, safe, and friendly hotel. Great location and a steal for $40 a night. Expensive cab ride from the airport ($36.50) but the public bus is cheap at $3 each way.

correction and update: My headline stated 12/10-12/12 and I actually won the bid for 1 night which was on 12/9/09.
This hotel was FANTASTIC! Brand newly remodeled and re-opened September, 2009 - Beautiful design, terrific room size, ultra clean, comfy beds, soothing colors, and retro with modern details.
Great pool and jacuzzi, the restaurant called Altitude was spectacularly good quality and an ultra low price due to a 50% off coupon at checkin from the front desk.
This place is a screaming good deal at $35 a night.
Free airport shuttle service 24/7. I can't say enough about the quality of this place.
100% non-smoking, too~
