I tried $60 for 2.5 Stars, rejected with an offer to bid for $84 and I did and won. Decent hotel, don't mind paying a bit more.

Looking for a hotel at Niagara falls, tried upto $100 for Niagara falls,NY and East Niagara falls for 2.5 starts but no luck. Added grand Island with $65 and was accepted on the first attempt..

I am visiting Hershey during the weekend of 04/29- 5/1 and was looking for a clean hotel with a reasonable rate. Couldn't find any info on surrounding areas and there were multiple hotels with same star level but with bad reviews. There is a plenty of winning bids in Hershey and Harrisburg area but the most of those hotels has bad reviews. I don't want to take a chance as I am traveling with a baby and don't want to deal with bed bugs. I did my research and found that the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Lebanon is a good hotel and there were no other hotels in that area with the same 2.5 * including Jones town and Pine grove. I was dead on trying to get this hotel, I stared bidding $50 and added zones and tried after 24 hours finally to get it for $80, which is still a good deal as the full price is $113 per night. I used the PRICELINE link and I am happy with the purchase, hope it is what I am expecting..

I have had such experience too when I was at an Extended Stay in Pittsburgh, they have a number of rooms that are out dated and kept aside for Priceline bookings and declined to give me two double beds instead of a queen bed. They clearly stated that they will not change the room for priceline bookings.

Amenities : Complimentary Breakfast High-speed Internet Access When the hotel lacks basic cleanliness and upkeep, I really cannot stay there for an hour. This can be rated as a third rate motel, bad reviews all over. Will not use HOTWIRE again. While PRICELINE offers the same for less upfront and has one star rating, HOTWIRE offers for higher price and rated as 2 stars. This is pathetic.

I got it for $ 69, including taxes and fee its 83 while price line has it for 75 all inclusive because of fee chop on this hotel. Sorry I didn't include the price earlier.. The booking is for 10/16

I have bought a 2 * on hotwire for Harrisonburg,va. They gave me a super 8 motel which is rated as 1 * on priceline and is listed for less, with out bidding. Their star rating is misleading and called them twice but to no avail. They are saying that when you goto the hotel and find the room bad, you can call them and they will help you out. I don't know what they really do to help you out. Their star rating is based on the average for Priceline, Travelocity and Expedia. This is a motel and bad reviews all over. Thinking of booking another hotel on PRICELINE and give this one. This is my first bad experience with HOTWIRE.

The Holiday Inn Express $44 per night. Dates: Saturday, 10/17/09 Sunday 10/18/09. Bidding History: I saw some got the same hotel for $44 and I bid the same amount. Bid accepted in the first try. Going to see fall colors, thougth hotel prices will go up during fall. Made my purchase through the betterbidding.com link for PRICELINE.

I started bidding for 3 * at $45 and went upto $55 and added 2.5 * but all rejected. Then I added 2 * and lowered the price to $40, that was accepted. Its Extended Stay, Monroeville the lowest rated 2* in that area. No continental Breakfast. But thats okay as its close to my location. I used the PRICELINE link to book..
