Originally tried Priceline but bid up to $120 using all in-city zones...no success. I went to Hotwire and was able to get the Omni Parker House for $110. It doesn't happen often but in this case Hotwire beat Priceline.
Edit: Please change to 4*. I chose 5* by mistake.

I might need to get a room later this week...I will give it a try :). I got this place on a winning priceline bid last week for $65 but your $62 win has me wanting to get it cheaper.
One night at Hyatt Regency Boston. Figured with low occupancy and dropping rack rates in town right now I would start low. First bid of $50 and second of $60 rejected. Got it at $65!!! Lowest price direct is $219.

The lists on this site are not complete. In fact there is a disclaimer warning against using them in bidding strategy. When selecting the airport zone, both 3.5 and 4 star is listed. The other zones in Montreal are free (as of this posting) of 3.5 and 4* hotels.

Did not go ahead with this...decided to do a cruise out of Texas. See the Texas Priceline board for my bidding results for a pre-cruise night at the Sheraton North Houston. Thanks.
Thanks for the link, very interesting reading.
I noticed that as well regarding near beach/beachfront.
Also, I am wondering if the retail rate given by Hotwire corresponds to the Expedia rates listed. The rate Hotwire quotes is $220....on Expedia there is a hotel for $220 that is a 3* with pretty much the same ammenities listed. That hotel is the Palladium Vallarta. Has anything been noticed in the past regarding the rate given by Hotwire ("retail" rate shown) and rates listed at Expedia?
The dates are 3/3/07-3/10/07
Hotwire has this 3* All Inclusive in Nuevo Vallarta for $139 (Says retail is $220/37% savings)
Ammenities:
Resort
Beach Front
Food/Beverages Included
A La Carte Dining
Water Sports/Activities
Evening Entertainment
Daily Activities
Children's Activity Program
Pool(s)
Restaurant(s)

Any guesses? Thanks in advance.
-Started bidding at $45
-Priceline made a counteroffer for $58
-Ignored counteroffer, added rebid zone, rebid for $48, ACCEPTED!
Your Offer Price: $48.00
Number of Rooms: 1
Number of Nights: 1
Subtotal: $48.00
Taxes & Service Fees: $13.45
Total Charges: $61.45
This just goes to show that you should totally ignore and never accept a Priceline counteroffer if you have rebids left. They are meant to maximize $$$ for Priceline and cause an overbid. Also, this reinforces the fact that there is no formula for rebidding based on counteroffers. I only added $3 after Priceline requested an additional $13 and the bid was accepted.
Bid up to $70 on this yesterday. Bid of $50 today was accepted. Nice property, have stayed here a bunch of times.

Subtotal: $50.00
