First bid for a 3* in San Jose for $45. No luck, so I lowered the star level to a 2.5* and got the Wyndham San Jose. Priceline recently upped the star level for this property to a 3*, can't complain here! I am very satisifed with the hotel brand and the location. I used the PRICELINE link.

I was trying for aim for either the Hotel Whitcomb or the Holiday Inn Civic Center since some people here had success getting a hotel room at both properties for $42. First tried bidding for 3* at $40, $42. No success, so I lowered the star level to 2.5* and got the Hotel Whitcomb. Originally, I bid for 4 nights, from May 9 - 13, but later extended my stay by a day at the same price without any problem. I used the PRICELINE link.

Got this property on the third try after unsuccessfully bidding $60 and $62. Thanks for the tips!
