  1. My bad....can't believe I forgot the room rate.  I am tired today.  It was $90 Canadian a night quoted for both nights.  I am interested in the Hyatt more so.  But would be ok with Westin or the Bellevue Hotel.  Trying to avoid the Silver Cloud.  I don't think it is that because the Silver Cloud is not Pet Friendly.  But I am wondering if there are any tells that give it away so that it can be narrowed down to one property.  I can't see one.  I am ready to book if the right hotel.

  2. Can anybody ID the following hotel:

4 Star Bellevue based on a Seattle search) Dec 16th and 17th on Hotwire

4 and 1/2 bubbles on TripAdvisor

    The following amenities:

    Business Centre

    Fitness Centre

    Internet

    Pet Friendly

    Restaurants

    Self Service Laundry

    Smoke Free Rooms

I am thinking its the Hyatt or Westin.......am I wrong?   Could it be something else?

    thanks in advance!

  3. Went on to Priceline and started bidding at $80 and was rejected. Started adding rebid zones without 4 Star properties and upped my bid by $10 until I got to $110. Hotwire had a 4 Star for $147. I knew I was in the range for Priceline so started adding rebid zones with $5 increments. Was succesful with $115 and got the Renaissance. Ok property. Not the best in that area. But good bang for the buck so I can't complain.

  4. I am ready to bid on PRICELINE; however, when I looked at the map today it appeared (to me) that the strip north condo zone and the strip north zone were merged as one. Is this correct? Can somebody confirm? I don't want the Trump when I bid on a strip North 5 star. I will hit re bid zones that don't have a 5 Star and adjust my bids accordingly. But again, don't want Trump. I need to be careful as I am bidding on three rooms and the fate of some friends lies in my hands.....

  5. It would depend on the Hotel that I have given you on Hotwire. If it is something that I would like to stay in like the Cosmopolitan or the Aria then I might just pay the extra to get something that I have a good feeling that I will get.....So I will make a decision once you can hopefully help me identify this hotel....

And the price is $164 in US dollars.....I was using Canadian currency originally....

  6. Thanks for your replies. The long and the short of it is this: I see that there is a recent win on Priceline for the Palazzo (strip North) for March 16-19th for $120. I am thinking of trying for this as well as I am going to be there on those exact dates. I am hoping that the fact that it is the same dates will help me. I know there are no guarantees on the same hotel or price; however, I wanted to make sure before starting that I can avoid the Trump. I would prefer any of the regular hotels I see that have been won in that area re: Wynn, Palazzo, Venetian....would be happy with any of those at similar or same price. When I go into Priceline and denote a Strip Resort they have notations that show that those properties have a casino. Am I guaranteed this or could I end up getting Trump? I would like to avoid. If I don't click on Strip North Condo will that help me avoid this scenario?

  7. I am wondering what hotels fit the billing when one starts to bid on Priceline for a 5 Star Strip North and South? I want to know if we know the possible hotels that have been won? Also wondering if the Trump is considered a Condo instead of Resort? If a person bids on a 5 Star North and then South Resort will I be guaranteed that I will get a hotel with a casino? Thanks in advance........

  8. It actually turned out to be TheHotel at Mandalay. You can tell by reading the hotwire reviews as some of them

give it away in the review with their reference to "TheHotel". And you can see commonalities between those reviews and the ones on TripAdvisor. Anyways, we now have some friends who have booked in at the Aria over the same time as us. We are going to stick with the Aria for our stay. Thanks for all your help!

And yes it was the full set of amenities. The Listing you are referring to was different. I saw that one too. The one I was referring to was there only briefly yesterday. Again, the reviews gave it away as to it's being TheHotel at Mandalay.

  9. I have kept searching for a hotel for my upcoming stay and Hotwire sent me a hotel on my email. I then logged into better bidding and connected to the HOTWIRE link via your site. Same result:

4.5 Star On Strip South for my stay of Aug 18th-22nd for $147 per night

    Has the following ammenities:

    Resort

    Suite

    Pool

    Restaurants

    Business Center

    Spa

Is this Ceasars? I know that it has not been on this board in a long time but I do remember it being a 4.5 Star previously. Then I thought I read something about Caesars being plotted in as a 5 Star at some point making it harder to pin point. I would love this hotel as ties rate is pretty good considering they don't have a Resort fee. Thanks for your help in advance.

  10. Kuta, I just booked the Aria from their website for my upcoming stay with my wife. I was thinking about your query when I was booking and noticed in the fine print of their booking that it states that they will charge $35 per person per night extra over and above two people per room. You will love the Aria. Swank hotel. Awesome rooms and nice pool.

  11. Well, it would appear that from recent wins on HOTWIRE that the Vdara will be $154 per night for my stay. I could probably get it for $10-20 cheaper on PRICELINE. I have a email summer promotion that I got from the Aria and it gives me a room plus a $50 resort credit for $139 per night. I am not going to gamble on this and end up with the Vdara. The pool there looks like something out of 2 Star hotel and definitely not a 5 Star Vegas Hotel Pool in any way, shape or form. If it wasn't pool season in Vegas I would bid. I wish I could get something cheaper as I am not used to paying this much for a Vegas hotel...especially in the summer. But at least I know that I got the Aria. I have stayed there before. Awesome property. I will look in the meantime on this board to see if anything changes. Thanks for the help!

  12. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I have stayed at the Aria and know many people that have done so as well. They were very short sighted when they made the hotel. You will be LUCKY to get a room with two beds even if you call and stipulate that this is what you want. Especially if you are staying there on a weekend. They state in their hotel booking policy that they do not guarantee your room choice. I had a friend who just stayed there and requested two queens in his booking and was forced into a King with his buddy. Same thing happened to me two years ago. People were checking out because of it. We argued with the manager and they lamented and finally switched us to the two queens the NEXT DAY. And apparently they have not remedied the situation by my friends recent experience. I am sure that TripAdvisor is littered with similar complaints with this hotel. Awesome hotel. But be prepared for the real possibility of only getting one bed. You can get a cot but they may charge you for the extra persons at that point. They do not have pull out sofa beds. If you do get the two queens then putting two more people in the room won't be a problem. You don't need to tell the hotel. Just get two keys at check in. If you need more keys then go back the next day and say that you need another key. You lost one. Hope that helps...........
