  1. I have booked 3* in Chelsea - Wingate by Wyndham for April 24th-35th . $73 is a fabulous deal. it is listed just about anywhere else at $205. Highly rated on Tripadvisor. Amenities Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access
  2. I have booked Ramada for May20-21st. it was listed at Hotwire as 3 stars: breakfast, restaurant, fitness , pool , laundry, business center, internet. No reviews " still gathering" , 3.5 on tripAdvisor While it is not a true 3 star ( Expedia lists it as 2.5 and reviewers are not kind to it ) full hot breakfast served at Denny downstairs is a big plus. Rack price is 71.
  3. The hotel is still available. The price went up by 10 bucks. Any guesses????
  4. It was gone in an instant. Must have been a good deal. I booked Citadines on their website, it was 110$
  5. Hi :-) I am lookng to book a 4 star in Paris ( city , not airport ). The dates are May1st-4th. There is 4 star hotel with 100% customer satisfaction coming up at $206 a night. The area is South of Champs Elysees - Trocadero The amenities are few: spa, buisness center and high speed internet ( I clicked "show all"). Trip advisor rating is 4.5 with 10+ reviews. Any guesses??? It is kind of expensive but it is hard to find a really high quality hotel this time of a year. i am more intrigued with high rating than with price.
  6. I checked the list and the recent wins ( the only amenity is hi-speed internet ) 3 stars 99USD March 2-4th. Was fully expecting Le Tour d'Auvernge which can be had on booking.com for 136 including breakfast. I didn't need breakfast and decided to save 70 bucks. What a terrible idea ! I "got" Mondial hotel - rated #1057 of 1100 Paris hotels. The photos look like motel 6 - no actually much worse, stains, filth , mold ... To add an insult to injury - it can be bought everywhere for $105 USD - with breakfast. Ugh , I am really mad at HOTWIRE for even considering such hotels . They certainly lost me s a customer.
  7. Just got Hilton Concord 3.5* for 45$ per night. February 20-22nd. Best online is $79 Bid and won for one night . Tried to extend - was refused. Bid for 42$ one more night - rejected , added Berkeley and raised to $45 . Accepted ! Go figure :-) Why did they refuse to extend it in the first place?
  8. I was bidding on 3.5 stars in Wilmington-Christiana area for September 3-4. I was pretty sure that I will get Sheraton Suites ( it is the only 3.5* listed in Delaware). I got my hotel for $45 - but it is Doubletree Downtown which is listed as 3 stars. What happened - did it get "upgraded " by Priceline ? I am disappointed since for $40 I could get Hilton Newark - which is a fabulous hotel for the money. Besides, Doulbetree charges 15 dollars for self-parking . Not a bargain :-(
  9. I tried to find what is it and I can't trace it. The rate is still there , September 7-10th. I would really like to know what this hotel is , please !
  10. My offer of $40 ws accepted by Hilton Wilmington for August 18-19. It is a very good hotel and price on Hilton website is $199. Very nice !
  11. I had to buy something quick for one night in London lose to St. Pancreas station Eurostar train ( I also got 4 days in Landmark 5 star for $172 per night ) I selected 5* first at Regents Park - rejected $140 , added Marble Arch - rejected , lowered my expectations to 4* and price to $120. Got Holiday Inn Camden Docks . I do not care much - I arrive late night and just needed a place to sleep over . But i am a bit taken back by 4* rating for Holiday Inn. Only in London !!!!! PS- Used the PRICELINE link as always !!!
  12. Landmark Hotel it is . Next best price is $237 Very happy to get it for this rate for 5 days !
  13. Help needed ! What is 3.5 star hotel in Paris Louvre-Marais area 157$ per night . The listing states that this is a boutique hotel and the only amenity listed is business center. Tripadvisor rating 4 out of 5 based on 100+ reviews. I checked all the lists , the only hotel mentioned here is Westin , it is 4* and even if it was downgraded - it doesn't fit definition of "boutique" Thanks in advance!
  14. Hi everybody :-) I have been using www.bettebdding.com ( and the link to HOTWIRE and PRICELINE , of course ) for a year . It is wonderful site which helped me a lot - and I buy hotels almost weekly - I am a touring musician. This time it is a bit tricky - since I need to book in a very specific area. I cannot trace the hotel which appeared on HOTWIRE just recently. It is 5* in Regents Park - Baker Street - Camden Lock district , listed at $172 for September 9-14 , 4 out of 5 on Tripadvisor based on 260+ reviews with last one posted July 2009. Any help will be greatly appreciated !
