  1. I ended up staying at the Hyatt Convention Center. I did find a deal online that stated they would give me one night much cheaper if I stayed two or something like that. I e-mailed to ask about it and they said "no". When I called them about it, sure enough they gave me that night discounted. That however, was irrelevant, b/c I had to come home early due to a death in the family. The Hyatt was ok, but from what my co-workers told me, I will stay at the Teatro next time. It was the same price (for the conference anyway) with MUCH nicer amenities (Spa tub and Aveda products) The Hyatt was very close to the convention center and it was convenient with nice staff. Thanks
  2. Hi - I'm trying to find a good deal for a beach front hotel on SPI. I've searched Expedia, etc. and they are all still more than I want to pay. I've never bid on a hotel before from priceline; any tips to get beachfront/balcony? thank you
  3. I guess I'm ignorant. I followed up to the gulf shores posting, but don't know how to "bump this posting"??
  4. We ended up not staying at Gulf shores, we went to Destin. I couldn't be sure that the Hotwire hotels in gulf shores were right on the beach and I didn't want to risk it. we stayed at the Sea oats Motel in Destin, FL. It is a 30 yr. old Motel, but right on the water, and just a few steps away from the beach. It was like old time Florida. Not a high rise. I would recommend highly. No frills, but clean and right on the water and close to eateries; we will return. Thanks
  5. I'm interested in renting a car for a couple days in Denver. I will already be downtown, so if I rent a car - (it looks like they are at the airport). Do the rental cars pick you up? or do you have to find transportation to the airport? Also, what if your estimated times change, i.e. return at 6 p.m., but don't return until later? Thanks so much.
  6. Hi - I am staying at a conference the week of Nov 2'nd at the HYATT Regency at Colorado Convention Center. Well, I wan to stay an extra night there (not paid for by the office) so I would like to stay in the same hotel. I've looked today on hotwire, and found the following 4 star hotel: 4* for $83 fitness center, pool(s), restaurant(s), business center, laundry facilities, hi-speed internet access Think this could be the Hyatt regency? Thanks so much.
  7. I am also looking for something. the onlyt hing HOTWIRE has is the Days Inn, which in my opinion are all terrible. They also have a condo, but it's more expensive. Any ideas on how to get a beach front room with PRICELINE? or is that impossible?
  8. We want to stay Sept. 18'th through 21'st. If we could just keep it under 100 dollars a night, really about $85 would be good. I have used HOTWIRE before but not PRICELINE. It is important that we have a beach front hotel. I hate all the new high rises. wish the old, beach front hotels were still there! Thanks
  9. I'm sure I have violated some posting rule, but I just need some help picking a hotel for gulf shores. If, there is not a beach front icon, could the hotel still be on the beach? results on HOTWIRE for gulf shores include: 2.5 * beakfast, pool, laundry, internet 3* busines center, laundry 2* pool, internet I really want beach front, and don't want to take the risk. My 1 yr anniversary! Thanks for any help!
