My husband and I were looking for a room for one night in the Chicago area. I first bid in the NW Indiana area and a 3* was rejected at $60, so I figured I would try Chicago for $65. I did just one bid....$65 for 2.5 and above in either Loop or Michigan Ave zone and was accepted right away....I guess I should of started lower, oh well....best rate on the site is $199 and I love Embassy Suites.

I booked this for my husband. The best price I was finding online with discounts was about $17 per day. Hotwire had a compact for $17.95. My first bid of $12 was accepted.
Thanks for the tip about EasyClickTravel also having lower rates than the Caesar's properties. Caesar's Palace is also available on easyclicktravel.com for your dates for $205 which is less than their website price of $270 per night. You could book Caesar's for $154 per night with the guarantee.

Another site to get lower rates at. www.nhrb.com has better rates than Bally's website for your dates, so you could submit a request using this sites lower price. nhrb.com has Bally's for $166.05 per night, so if you use Bally's guarantee, you could get these nights for $124.54 per night, even better than worldres.com. Let us know if you go for it, really you have nothing to loose since Bally's rooms are refundable.
This would also work for Flamingo using nhrb.com, rate for Flamingo are 162.50 for your dates, so you would pay 75% of that, or if you really want to spend a little extra, even Caesars is coming up cheaper than their own website, Caesars is $198,186 for your dates. All of these properties have the guarantee.
That is so strange. It worked for me this morning and its showed as available. This happened a couple weeks ago and then in a couple of days, it was taking reservations again. Keep trying. Paris was available this morning too and is now not accepting reservations.
You can get Bally's for $127.50 per night for that Friday and Saturday. Here's how you do it. You book these rooms thru Bally's which are $239,329. They will charge your credit card for the first night and it is totally cancelable, so if you did find something better you could cancel this. You then follow their rules and use their best rate guarantee and they will match the lower rate from worldres.com plus give you an additional 25% off the lowest rate you find. Worldres.com has these rooms for $170 per night, so 75% of this is $127.50, not bad for a weekend night in the middle of the strip. I did this for a friend of mine and it worked without any problems. There are no re-bids in this zone, so $150 was my first bid and it was accepted. I bid this for some friends of mine. They are so thrilled. The best price on Marriott's website was $203 and this is a pre-paid rate. I did some searching and took a chance that this is probably the only 4 star hotel that would come up in St. Kitts. It did show availability when I plugged in a vacation request for their dates. They knew that they may not get this hotel, but I felt pretty sure that it would be the Marriott. If they would of booked thru Marriott, it would of been almost $3500, so they saved almost $1000. They also used miles for 4 out the 5 airline tickets, so a family of five will go on this trip around Thanksgiving for about $3100 from Boston. Here are the details from Priceline.

I just wanted to let you know I was successful getting Paris to match my lower price plus 25% with their Best Rate Guarantee. Paris had my rates for 6/8-6/12 (thu-mon) for $636, Worldres.com had it for $568, then with the guarantee, I got it for $426 plus taxes for 4 nights, not bad for a long weekend at Paris.
I bid this for my cousin, went all the way up to $65 for a 4 star and no dice. I guess Saturday check-in can be a problem. With taxes and fees it was like $48.
I think the big problem is the Saturday night check-in, if he could get a different hotel for the first night and then book the rest with Bally's, it's a pretty good deal. Bally's has 5/28-6/3 for his stay for $560.26 with taxes. Maybe just use Hotwire for the first night.
I found decent rates for Bally's for your stay at Worldres.com. They have it for 145,123,123,123 for your stay. I have never booked with them before, but it looks like they will hold your reservation with no deposit, but then it says that they do charge a 5% cancellation fee, so I guess this is only good is you really wanted to book it. I have just used their prices before for a price match guarantee.
Actually, I was just thinking about this some more. If you are interested in Ballys, just book the first night with Worldres.com and then book your next 3 nights with Bally's directly which is available on their site for 149,149,149. You book it with them, then submit a price match guarantee for these nights, they match worldres.com plus give you an additional 25% off the lowest price. You just need to print out the claim form and either fax or email it back to them within 24 hours of booking. Others have been successful getting these rates matched plus 25%. I have a claim right now that I am waiting on hearing back from them for a friends stay at Paris. I just submitted it this morning. So with the 25% match your rates for the last 3 nights would be $92.25 per night.

I bid these 2 rooms for a friend. Tried Priceline up to $55 for 3 star, no luck, 2.5 star up to $50, no luck. I then checked our Easyclicktravel and decided for $39, I would just book this Days Inn. It was a blind booking, but I figured it out ahead of time based on the description. To help figure these rooms out, I copy the description and google it and I can usually figure out what hotel it is. The descriptions are taken right from the hotels own web site, not usually to hard to figure out which property they are. They only need this room for the evening prior to a cruise, so they won't be here long. Trip Advisor had decent reviews for this hotel. Total charges for the 2 rooms was $105.14. Well the gambler in me went for it and today I received my email from Hotwire refunding me double the difference. Found a link for $10 bonus cash, first bid of $50 was rejected, second bid of $55 plus $10 bonus cash accepted. It's basically a brand new hotel, very happy with this bid. Lowest rate on their website is $135. I believe this hotel was listed as a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $69 a night.
