August 31- Sept 2nd. First bid accepted for $70. I thought I was bidding low, based on the history of recent wins which were around $80, but I guess they are coming down in price. First time here and tried to use PRICELINE link - hope the referral worked.

I am looking for a hotel on Big Island at the beginning of September. Is there any strategy that is more likely to lead to Marriott vs Hapuna? They seem to be in the same class and zone. Also, any recent experiences - which one is better for someone with kids? Thanks.
