  1. Not too pleased with the result here, but was desperate to stay somewhere in boulder. Bid 2.5* up to $60, then 2* to $65, then took the chance whether 1* was going to be a free rebid on the already known 2.5* hotels and lost that bet :-P got the following, which can be added to this list: Americas Best Value Inn And Suites Boulder 970 28Th Street Boulder, CO 80303 303-443-7800 I'm sure I could've gotten this far cheaper if I realized there was a 1*; but its slightly less than paying retail price, and thankfully its just for myself, so I don't care much.
  2. Used PRICELINE link. Doing a quick stay while driving through -- booked late (9:30PM). Put in 2*, started at $30, did airport zone, and kept adding every zone except Schenectady - hit $40 on my last bid, and got this place. Has good reviews on tripadvisor. Website lists nightly rate at $62. This will do quite nicely. Also really excited that this is my first time contributing a new hotel to the list!! (Note that this is different than the currently listed Travelodge Latham location)
  3. Used the PRICELINE link here! Started at $40, went up in $2 increments. Very pleased, nice place - and found complimentary Internet hack: www.vinhboy.com/blog/2009/10/05/how-to-hack-the-hilton-hotel-wifi Just used Google Chrome to change to 0.00, submitted, and it changed to 'complimentary'. Also could've used my Hilton Honors membership, but wanted to try for fun :) Going to try for 2nd night here...
  4. Used PRICELINE link, tried for Airport RDU 3* up to $50; then added Research Triangle Park; brought it back down to $40 based on other threads, and got the Radisson on my first try -- not bad; just wanted somewhere close to the airport.
  5. Went with the masses on this one -- Started at 45, worked my way up -- only worked at $50 for the Sunday night stay. Used the PRICELINE link - Thanks! Also taking a note from bargaintvl and staying at the Sheraton Convention Center through lastminutetravel.com for Saturday night 5/21/11 - $64 after tax.
  6. Did a crazy amount of bidding all over san francisco.. as low as 2.5*, including everything but san mateo and south san francisco -- bidding u p to $60 and getting nothing -- finally got this at $65. I assume this is because I'm bidding same day... Disappointed to read some of the reviews here and on trip advisor. Will report on the Internet situation, but this will do. Looks like they have a complimentary airport shuttle - thats a bonus. Used the PRICELINE links here to start my bidding.
  7. I would strongly advise NOT bidding this low stars in this zone; for fear of getting stuck with this hotel. It was as bad as all the reviews on tripadvisor -- and I rarely get worked up about hotels. Thankfully I checked for bed bugs, and was okay, everything in my room worked except things listed on their outdated website (like wired Internet in the room). Wireless only in the lobby -- every chair is always taken. I did find great free wireless internet down the street at dominicks (grocery store with nice seating) -- open 24 hours. Walking to/from the hotel can be dangerous: Poorly lit walkways, no sidewalks on some sides of the road, and no pedestrian crossings at intersections. Nearby restaurants also not very good. Restaurant in the hotel is no longer open. Shuttle service was scary to the airport, and they argued with me to take me to the movies 2.6 miles away, despite their written offer of transport to anything within 3 miles. Icemakers - had to visit a 3rd one before found a working one. Shower - Water temperature varies, and scalds you! Hallways - Every light fixture is broken, wallpaper is coming off the walls, elevator sounds so horrible I stopped using it, for fear of it breaking and getting stuck in it. Breakfast - Never saw it, everything was gone by the time I'd make it down in the morning. Priceline should really consider rating this 1* instead of 2* Used PRICELINE link
  8. Really enjoying this stay. Only warning is $13.99/day Internet :) Did a ton of rebids to get this. Started at $45. Happy with it, as it included a weekend night. Used PRICELINE link
  9. Started at $60, then $65 for 4* Added 3.5* - nothing Lowered to 3*, and $50 - got it! Very happy with this location. Used the PRICELINE link
  10. Did a 3.5* with a number of rebids -- free upgrade to 4* Extremely happy with this! Used PRICELINE link when ordering.
  11. Got 2* Extended Stay America Austin - Arboretum Austin Arboretum 10100 N. Capital Of Texas Hwy. Austin, Texas 78759 512-231-1520 I'm pleased -- This is the one I was hoping for; and at a great price. Started at $25; got offer to rebid for free at $35. Declined, added Austin Central, rebid at $27 and got this! Hoping to take advantage of the $5/stay Internet offer mentioned by others: http://www.extendedstayhotels.com/about/hotwire-guests.html Used the betterbidding link - Thanks!
  12. Started at $40 in Henrietta with 3*, then added Downtown, and bumped to $45 - got this!
  13. First time using PRICELINE (and posting here) After a long and convoluted process -- I started at $65, and slowly worked my way up by including lots of other properties Won: Hyatt Regency San Francisco (Financial District) August 29th -> September 2nd $79/night
