  1. What was the total cost per night with tax and fees? Was that your starting bid? What areas did you bid on to get this. Thanks.
  2. Hotwire charges "Tax recovery charges and fees" -- I see this on a confirmation I have from Hotwire. Is the fee for their services set or does it vary? [The taxes are, of course, set and would be paid regardless of how room was booked and paid.] It would be helpful to know this amount when deciding if a rate is a good deal or not. Thanks.
  3. I am still on the fence on this one, I will absolutely use HOTWIRE link, if and when I go for it. I was thinking it might be Westin, which would be good. LeMeridien seems to have some not so good reviews on TA, as it is still so new, working out kinks. Thanks.
  4. I am looking for 4* or better in Center City East for 8/5/10 to 8/9/10. I see the following: Non smoking, fitness, restaurant, business, Hi speed with 85% recommended for $89. I don't think it is Le Meridien, because when it came up in the past few weeks, it didn't have recommended %, said it was still gathering info. The list here shows several possibilities, but quite a few hotels have amenities listed and then alternates amenities. Any guesses? Thanks! {originally posted on hotel list board, sorry}
  5. Complimentary Breakfast; Fitness Center; Pool; High Speed Internet were the amenities. It also said "We are still gathering reviews for this property. " :) I actually went over to the HI Express to check it out and it is fairly new, they let me look at a room which was a good size, very clean. The pool and breakfast areas were big, nice, and clean. The lowest rate the clerk had was $80! I asked if they would take the HOTWIRE rate and she said they couldn't match it.
  6. FYI- Holiday Inn Express [on HOTWIRE] now has this location as a 2 *, not a 2.5 star. It is a nice, new hotel. It is just off I 25, at exit 242 Bernalillo, SR 550 [ north of Albuquerque] My sister, without knowing about Better Bidding, just got it for $48 for 5/31 to 6/3. I have now told her about using Better Bidding for future use. Sorry, but I wanted to at least update the hotel list rating.
  7. Using betterbidding HOTWIRE link, I got the Dupont Hotel for $109 for 3 nights: 8/9 to 8/12/10. Amenitites listed were: Smoke free, Fitness, Restaurant, Bus. Cntr, Hi Speed. Thanks for the properties list, it really helped give me the confidence to place a blind bid!
  8. This is not in Old Town; it is indeed in Downtown ABQ. All of the hotels in downtown area charge for parking, Doubletree charges $10. Not a lot you can do about it. There are many other hotels in Albuquerque that have free parking, are in good areas and can be gotten for a good price on PRICELINE's Name your own price. Hope this helps. For future reference, Doubletree can often be gotten for low $40's. DebitNM
  9. Used your PRICELINE link, got Radisson 3* Midtown- Uptown at $41 on first try for 2 nights 8/25 to 8/27/09. Stayed there before, good location for interstate, odd layout, doing renovations but a decent place to stay.
  10. There is indeed only 1 resort classified hotel in Santa Ana Pueblo and it is Tamaya. It is an excellent hotel, with great amenities. It is a bit north of ABQ, but nearer to Santa Fe than other hotels. Not sure I can say this here [i am new here], but I have seen that others have gotten this for around $100 -$105 on Priceline.
