$222 on Kayak and about the same on other sites, so not bad amount of savings. If you love swimming/sauna/gym, bring your swim/workout gear. They have really nice amenities as far as that's concerned. I've stayed here for less using Priceline in the past as well. I think I bid $92 last time... And if you're gay/lesbian/curious/bi/tranny/straight/non-labeler -- club Pulse and a couple other clubs/bars are within walking distance. It's in the wealthy part of town, and not necessarily close to the train stations I had hoped for (since I'll be going to the airport the following morning). With the money saved I guess I'll hop a cab to the nearest bahn/station. =\

I can understand why you're puzzled. I used the "Name Your Own Price" feature on PRICELINE. Prior to clicking on "Name Your Own Price," I've pre-selected the location and dates for desired travel. Looking back on it, I actually selected Dulles North, Herdon - Reston. It allowed me to select the 3.5* rating. I'm looking at it from your perspective, and it really doesn't let you bid above 3* with Dulles South being selected. You might consider changing your geographic preference to Dulles North if you don't mind the 1 or 2 mile difference. I apologize for the slight misinformation I posted, it was LATE last night when I bid, and I had the intention of selecting Dulles South, if Dulles North wasn't available. I'm just there on a loooong layover, so anything with a shuttle to and from IAD would do. eh, not the best, not the worst... Originally bid $55 for 4* Newport Beach, and bid other desirable areas (Seal Beach, Laguna Beach), bid different areas that didn't have 4* hotels (Garden Grove, Fullerton)... Ended up with 4* Fairmont hotel in Newport Beach... At least the location is what I wanted originally. It's $199 on Priceline, and $150 on SideSteop, so I guess it's okay...
