  1. Hello! 4-Star, O'Hare South. currently $97 - October 14 for one night. Free Internet, Business Center, Fitness Center. Rating 8 or higher I have been checking for the last few weeks. There has been only one 4* O’Hare South Express deal and the rates fluctuates between $104 or $96/$97. For $104 rate, there is a bed choice plus one more amenity, which I forgot what exactly (probably restaurant). There are only two 4* O’Hare South properties (Hyatt Regency or Renaissance according to the list), and my guess is Hyatt. Is it possible the same hotel has two different sets of amenities for the same night? Thanks! Roy
  2. Thank you for the reply! My friends and I are sharing a room booked through Chicago Marathon. I'll use PRICELINE via this site for my post race accommodation. Rates are very expensive, but there'll over 30000 runners flocking into the city, we'd rather play it safe and book early. Thanks again. Roy
  3. Hello, I am extending my stay after the Chicago Marathon (10/13), and would like to stay in the LOOP/GRANT PARK zone. Express Deal offers a 4* $179 (save 25% or more) with a Guest Rating 9.0+; the only amenities are restaurant and business center. Upon checking the BUY NOW list, there are three 4* hotels with Guest Rating 9.0 or higher in that zone: Radisson Blu $190 Monaco Chicago $239 The Wit $315 Of the three hotels above, only Monaco Chicago’s amenities match the ones in the EXPRESS DEAL; the other two have more amenities listed. Can I safely assume Monaco Chicago is the one? Even the rate matches ($239 less 25% = $179) Is it that simple in this case? THANKS! Roy
  4. Thank you all for the insight. I have given up at $105 on Monday and we have booked at a smaller hotel in the city since. Thank you for the input, I am enlightened. Will try again in the future. I did use the PRICELINE link, and will do so again when I have the chance. Roy
  5. Hello, I am very new to hotel rooms bidding and had my first bid over the weekend, but without any success. I was wondering if anyone can give me some advise for future reference. First bid two days ago: Montreal Aug 1st and 2nd, 3.5* #1 Montreal - $70, rejected #2 Montreal + Dorval - $75, rejected #3 Montreal + Dorval + Longuel - $80, rejected I eventually added all areas, as 3.5* is only available in Montreal - all rejected Yesterday, tried the same thing again, and last bid was $105 - all rejected as well. I though I was just bidding too low. Then last night, I read another member's winning bid for the exact same date, category, and area for only $71 at the third bid. Here is his post: Montreal Hyatt Regency Unlike him, I was not offered to bid at a certain price. Note about my yesterday's bid, I did not realized I started a new bid, I thought I was continuing the one from Sunday. Anyway, I was wondering what I did wrong for future reference. I used the PRICELINE link. Thanks! Roy
  6. Hello Andrew, Thank you for sharing your bid. I am pretty new to this. I was trying to bid the exact same category, area and dates, but I couldn't get anything at $105. YESTERDAY: Bid #1: Montreal, 3.5*, $70 Bid #2: Montreal + Dorval, 3.5*, $75 Bid #3: Montreal + Dorval + Longuel, 3.5*, $80 I eventually included all areas, as 3.5* is only available in Montreal. I was not offered to bid at a certain price. Tried again today, and bid up to $105, all rejected. Like I said, I am pretty new to this, what did I do wrong? I used the Better Bidding PRICELINE link as well. Thanks! Roy
