  1. Good Day.... Just wanted to let you know I accessed Hotwire through your site and received the Eaton Chelsea, as I thought, same as many times in the past. 2 nights, $97./nt, Dec. 12-14, 2 adults, 75% recommended. You've always helped me in the past so wanted to book thru your site and post my win. Thank you!
  2. Just to let you know I ended up booking the Eaton Chelsea direct thru your Expedia link as I waited too long and it was gone from HOTWIRE :( Thanks as always for your insight and tips. :)
  3. Thank you. I tried that. It comes up $178./nt, bit higher than i wanted, but I really do want the Chelsea. Can you tell me if it is a cle that the 75% recommended is the Chelsea and the 85% is Novotel? Thanks for all your help! :)

  5. It was Delta Chelsea - Aug. 22, 1 night, my sincere apologies for leaving out the most important info. I am so sorry. Better late than never. I'm always pleased with this hotel, most reasonable Hotwire price with every amenity you could want. The only thing to watch with this hotel though is there is major construction going on across the street of a highrise building and if your room is on that side it could be quite loud early in the morning - they put us around the other side and on a higher floor, and it really wasn't bad. I would recommend this hotel. Thanks again Better Bidding for always being there to help!
  6. Just wanted to report I just went through your HOTWIRE link today and won tonight - 1 night -Toronto - East Side - $93. - 2 people - 3.5 star - smoke free, fitess, bus. cen., pool, hi spd. internet. I knew that would be it from past experience, but hopefully it helps others on here and always happy to support "Better Bidding" to assist me in the future. :)
  7. Hi....The 3.5 star Downtown Toronto East is most likely the Delta Chelsea...I've gotten it numerous times through Hotwire. I think it's a great hotel with great amenities in a great location. The 4 star could be a number of hotels, none of which I think you would be disappointed with - though one of the Better Bidding experts can probably narrow it down more for you. This site is very helpful and quite accurate.
  8. Thank you as always for your wonderful help. Unfortunately we are cancelling this 4 hour driving trip as there is freezing rain and snow forecast for tomorrow. I thought this was spring :)
  9. Sorry....it's for 1 night, tomorrow, Wed., March 23rd. Thank you!
  10. I clicked on the HOTWIRE link as per your request. Thank you!
  11. Good Day! Can you please help identify - on Hotwire today 3 Star Toronto East 1 night - 2 adults - $81/nt 90% recommended fitness - pool - restaurant - business centre - internet. Thank you!
  12. Yes, it was 2.5 star, sorry for not mentioning that. Also, just to mention, I had booked it 2 hrs. before arrival. There was no record of the Hotwire booking in their system at the hotel upon check in. They put them in a regular room in the interim and took their credit card # to secure it. They asked how much they had gotten the room for on Hotwire - when told $82 - the guy almost had a heart attack - haha, must have been the owner? I think reg. rate was $125. Anyway, apparently the Hotwire booking came in thru the night.
  13. Good Evening....just wanted to report a very last minute booking for my son on Hotwire - I booked 1 room, 1 night, tonight Aug. 27th, in Brandon, Manitoba, 2 people, $82, pool, restaurant, laundry, business cent., fitness. Just checked again and it has jumped to $99. in a matter of 5 minutes! It is for the Royal Oak Inn, on Victoria St. I booked through your HOTWIRE link. Not sure if this is where to post the win, but couldn't find brandon or manitoba in a search at top, so please move or add where appropriate. Thanks and happy to share my results for the help you give!
  14. oops, sorry, i was so sure of it, guess i thought everyone else would be too! haha. Yes! Delta Chelsea! on Gerrard St.
  15. ok, this trip's in the bag. just booked on hotwire Downtown Toronto East 3 1/2 Stars $109, 1 night aug 28, 3 people, non smoking, fitness, swimming, restaurant, business cent., internet I knew that's what it would be, but just wanted to report it.
  16. 3 1/2 star for $105 now, non smoking, fitness, swimming, restaurant, business cent., internet, one night aug. 28, 3 people, downtown toronto east. i've gotten delta chelsea 3x in the past with these amenities, etc. i may give priceline one more try today for a 4 star dt toronto south, $105, or may go for the above as I'm pretty sure that one's a sure thing. will let you know. thanks.
  17. I was hoping to not exceed $100, but i guess would go to $110. The Marriott you mention is a little bit farther up than I wanted - didn't want to stay up as far as Bloor St - would prefer something Queen to Queen's Quay. I'm now seeing a 3 1/2 star just added today $106. for either 2 or 3 person occupancy, which leads me to believe it's most likely Delta Chelsea. I may opt for that if I don't rebid on Priceline up to $110. I will report what I end up with. Thanks again for your help.
  18. I've tried priceline, up to $105., 4 star, toronto south, not accepted. Aug. 28, 1 night.
  19. still watching...nothing new has come up on Hotwire all week. I think i'm going to take the plunge and try Priceline for the first time! Downtown Toronto South, 4 Star. Any tips on bid amounts to nab a certain hotel? Thinking of starting at $90. Would really love Westin Harbour Castle, Sheraton for location, but by the looks of hotel list - I'm thinking they are probably all good choices, so probably can't go wrong. I will go through your PRICELINE links on here and let you know how i fare. This will be an exciting new venture.
  20. yes, i've tried booking for 2 and 3 occupants. still the same 2 4 star downtown west and east properties again today. still looking for a good deal around $100. 1 night. i've used hotwire quite a few times and happy with results. tempted to try PRICELINE tho not familiar with it. would definitely like toronto downtown south location - dont' want to be up as far as bloor. any strategies to get westin harbour castle or sheraton. i've had success with receiving hilton, radisson harbour, and chelsea in the past.
  21. thanks. i just checked again, and the east still comes up red - not identified. ? (downtown east) Would the marriot bloor yorkville be considered downtown?
  22. just thought i'd mention also that i checked the hote list and compared amenities, so i can narrow it down to a few but i'm always a bit thrown by the 90% or 95% etc. recommended and how to narrow it down that way.
  23. Hello again....heading to Toronto for a jays game - 1 night - August 28, 2010. would really love to try Westin Harbour Castle - Sheraton would be good too. 2 adults, and one 17 yr. old - have tried various searches, e.g 2 adults, 2 adults 1 child, 3 adults 2 adults shows - any ideas? thank you! Downtown Toronto West area Hotel 4 star $115/nt Bed Choice, Non Smoking, fitness, swimming, restaurant, business, internet 90% and Downtown Toronto East area Hotel 4 star $109/nt non somking, fitness, restaurant, laundry, business, internet 90%
  24. The amenities at the Edison Hotel were fitness, restaurant, business cent., internet. (internet was $10 /nt. charge). Parking was $35/nt. You couldn't park your car yourself and you couldn't bring your bags to your room - everything required service (tip). It was a cheaper price for a times square hotel (though almost $300/nt). Beds were comfortable. Other than that and the obvious amazing location to Times Square (right outside your door) it is not a hotel I would stay at again. The bathrooms need some serious updating - they are pretty bad. If I'm going to pay $300 for a hotel, I'd rather pay a little more than $300 and get a 3 star and up. We ended up switching rooms for the 2nd 2 nights, as the first one was way too small. 2nd room was a bit bigger.
  25. Just to let you know we ended up booking through here on hotwire, with the link through hotels.ca identifying the Edison hotel, 4 nts. $276/nt. aug. 2,3,4,5, forf 3 people. we have a very small, outdated room, with one queen bed and 1 pullout. it's a fabulous location in times square, but this room in this hotel is very old and i wouldn't recommend for anyone who expects anything fancy. it's 2 1/2 star hotel and thats probably quite accurate. we're thinking of trying to move for last night or two if we're able to through our Hotels.com booking. there's a 4 star avail for aug. 5, $296, suite, rest., bus. cent, internet, fitness, 95% recommended. i'm guessing maybe doubletree guest suites. can you guess or confirm this? thanks. we'll book thru your link if we do change.
