Used PRICELINE link from site, First bid $73 for 3* in Santa Monica, rejected but option to purchase at $22 more (!)- ignored option... Re-bid $76 by adding Lawndale, won Courtyard Marina Del Ray! :)

Any advice? I'm wondering if anyone has any insight into the reasons the bid may have been rejected since it seemed to be going for $71/night? Thanks!

Initially started with 3.5* request at ~$60, went up to $80- all rejected. Won the 3*: Started at $41, then $43 with Studio City- rejected but able to buy if increased by $12- waited 24 hours then started at $43- rejected with the option to increase $12. Ignored option, rebid and won with $45. Thanks for the great forum!

For September 3- September 4, 2009-- I made a mistake in checking off Redondo Beach when bidding for Santa Monica, and got this the first time Redondo Beach was tried. It probably could have been cheaper if it wasn't a mistake:). It's ok though, I'm now looking forward to going there when it wasn't on my itinerary before.
