hi, i won the radisson fisherman's wharf for a five night stay dates 8/12 - 8/17/09 for $102. per night using the forum PRICELINE link. i started out at $40 with a 3.5 star just at the wharf; rejected. raised to $70 with a 3 star same locale; rejected. added the marina district as i discovered they only had 2 star properties and still rejected at $75. (had read that you would be upgraded to higher star level if you add a district that has no star levels you want as a bidding strategy from this forum); still rejected. again noted that there were no 2.5 in marina so took a chance in upping my bid to $80. and adding the 2.5 level; rejected, but told that if i added $22. to my bid i could re-bid once before waiting the 24 hours and would probably get it. bid accepted. has anyone ever stayed there? i read very conflicting reviews on tripadvisor and yahoo travel; some say it's great, others say it is not good. btw, they charge $37. per night for parking which is high but the total stay $ is still good for that area in the summer. did i do everything correctly for the best price and level that time of year and star level?
