  1. Hi After bidding for Fishermanns Wharf (3,5*) for the last week (up to 100 USD) I went for Embarcadro Financial zone (4*). Startet at 80 and at 90 I was counteroffered 112. Countinued at 92, 94, 96 and got the Hyatt Regency at 98 USD. Price on Hotel website is 152 so we are quite happy Our stay is from 9/17 to 9/21 Thanks for all the help Best Regards Johs
  2. Thanks a lot for the info. I will use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links And follow up when I have booked the car Regards Johs
  3. Thanks a lot for the answars. One more question: Is insurance also not included in PRICELINE Car rental ? And is it in your experience cheaper to use PRICELINE than HOTWIRE for car rental ? Still haven't won a hotel in SF, but when I do i will follow up on that thread. Thanks a lot Johs
  4. Hi I have 2 questions about Car rental on Hotwire 1. I'm considering booking a car for 2 weeks in LA though you HOTWIRE link. My first question is if anybody knows if insurance is included ? I get a qoute at USD 264 for a compact car which seems quite cheap. 2. My 2 question is if its correct that I can see you the Rental Agency (in this case Alamo) ? I thought the concept of HOTWIRE was that the Renta agency was only disclosed after the booking was made ? Or is that only for hotels ? Best Regards Johs
  5. Hi Does anybody know why there doesn't seem to be any wins in the Marina - Lombard st. zone in San Francisco ? We would like free parking that most hotels seems to have there. Alternatively I guess we'll take a look at Fisherman's Wharf Regards Johs
  6. Hi Got Marriot Marina Del Rey (3,5*) at 97$ (started at 95$) using the PRICELINE link. Regards Johs
  7. Hi thanks for the info Bid 75$, 78$ and then Bingo on 80$. Got TI Thanks for all the advise. Will move on til our stay in LA Regards Johs
  8. Thanks for the advice on bidding 4 times through your PRICELINE links. I tried 65$, 68$, 72$, 75$. Got a counteroffer of 88$ on my first bid but got gready. But I'm no hurry. Will let you know what I get when my bid is accepted. Johs
  9. Hi again Just had a go at 58$, 60$ and 62$ Was counteroffered 88$ (quite a bit lower than yesterday) Will try again a bit higher tomorrow Regards Johs
  10. Hi thereuare Thanks for the info about conventions. I don't really have a maximum although I don't its worth the chance of not knowing the hotel if I have to bid more than say 110 But basicly I just want the room as cheap as possible. I'm in no hurry so i guess i will try 55$ today. Rebidding at maybe 58$ and 60$. Unless you think its way to low ? I will of course use the PRICELINE links Regards Johs
  11. Thanks a lot. Used New York, New York, 99999, USA. No problem with my danish mastercard But bid wasn't high enough Johs
  12. Hi I've tried to bid on Priceline.com for a 4* hotel on Strip North (Las Vegas) for 2 nights (9/14/09-9/16/09) I started with 48$. Rebid at 50$ and 52$ They counteroffered me 110$ I've checked the homepage of TI and Mirage and they quote 130$ and 140$ So i might be bidding to low but I saw Jurgen had a bid accepted at 50$ (october though) Any idea which level I should try tomorrow ? Is there some reason my dates seems a little more expensive than other weekdays ? Regards Johs
  13. Hi Jurgen How did you fill in the Country and state fields ? I tried to make a bid but I could only chose USA or Canada ? Thanks in advance Johs
