  1. Hi Everyone, After trying for over a month, I finally landed a ten night stay at The Park Lane Hotel in Mayfair for a very reasonable $185 per night. I used the PRICELINE links on better bidding. I was very concerned that I would have to split my ten night stay into several bids and was glad that it was accepted as is. This proves that you should always be persistant and patient. Can't wait to go.
  2. Period of stay Sep 2 - Sep 4 , 2 nights 3.5* in Downtown Montreal Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Bus. Centre, Internet, $89/night, recommended by 70% of Hotwire users.
  3. I have been bidding on a 5* hotel on priceline for the Mayfair - Soho area of London for a 10 night stay (Sep 2-12, 2011). My bids have ranged from $165 to $175 using the strategies mentioned in the forum. I know from this forum that this price range is possible but, so far, have had no luck. Is it possible that these hotels wait until the last minute to offer lower prices? If so, should I leave my bidding till a week or so before my trip? I would appreciate any comments from those of you who are more knowledable.

  5. I am going to St. John's Jul 21 for seven days Hotwire offers a 3 star hotel with pool and internet for $100.00/ngt I have researched hotels in St. John's and the only three star hotel with a pool is the Holiday Inn. However, The Traveller's Inn, which is a 2 star hotel, also has a pool. I hope that HOTWIRE is not falsely advertising it as a three star. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
