  1. Used the PRICELINE link on BB to go to search PRICELINE EXPRESS. I selected a 2.5* in the Airport (FLL) area. The amenities included free parking, free internet, free breakfast, airport shuttle, business center, pool and non-smoking rooms. Paid $65 for the one night, for a total of $79.22 with taxes and fees.
  2. Saw that previous wins had started at $30 for a 2.5* with a swimming pool and a 7+rating. Used the PRICELINE link on this site and got the Red Roof Inn in Rutland for $30 ($40.17 with taxes and fees) on my first try.
  3. Got the room through Priceline Express. The listing was for Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Pool, Free Parking, Business Center and Gym/Spa with a 7+ user rating. I checked previous wins here at Better Bidding and the only 2* listed was the Hampton Inn in Littleton. I checked Hotwire and different booking sites to see if there was another 2* hotel in Littleton with the amenities listed. There wasn't so I decided to go ahead and go for the room. I first tried at $70 and then $77 with a different starting date with no luck. I changed logins and tried $80 and $90 with an adjusted start date. Finally I decided to just use Priceline Express at $98. The winning hotel was the Best Western White Mountain Inn in Franconia. I was rather perturbed at paying so much for a mediocre hotel in different town so I checked the priceline map, blew it way up and saw that the hotel does indeed barely squeak into the geographic area. I then checked the hotel site directly and saw that I could have gotten a refundable room with AAA for $2.79 more per day but $12 less overall if I had just gone to the Best Western site. Big sigh, I guess I was bound to get skunked eventually. Here's hoping for lots of snow so that the great skiing makes up for the mediocre win.
  4. The hotel was listed as 2.5* with a fitness room, free breakfast, wifi, parking, a business center and a rating of 8+.
  5. I started at $40/night for a 2.5 star for White River Junction, I went up in $2 increments and added Lebanon and Hanover on the first day I tried. The next day I started over at $46 for White River then added Hanover for $48, then Lebanon for $50. Finally I decided to just go ahead and book the express deal for $59, less the 5% discount for using the code SPRING. I got the Holiday Inn Express for ~$56 after the discount. I have booked it before using the PRICELINE link on this site. This is by far the cheapest rate that I have seen for this hotel. The total was $132 after taxes, fees and the discount.
  6. I decided that I wanted to stick with at least a 2.5* for the Denver Airport. I started bidding at $40/night for a 2.5* and worked my way up to $50/night after a few days which was accepted for the Baymont Inn. The Express price for a 2.5* at the airport is currenlty $56 (with 5% back now with the code SPRING) so I am still ~$3 ahead of the express price.
  7. I tried $44/night the day before we left, even though the express price was $65 for a 2* in Gorham. The next day I tried at $55 and it was accepted. Amenities for the 2* were pool, restaurant, free parking, fitness center, and rating of 7+. We have stayed there previously and are usually given double queens. This time I called ahead and was told I would be given a double queen but they ended up being sold out so I was given a small room with a double and a twin. With taxes and fees it came to $129.
  8. I saw what I thought was the Comfort Inn being offered on Hotwire for that period of time for $38. I used the link the PRICELINE link on this site and started with a bid of $32/night. It was accepted right away by the Comfort Inn Trolley Square. The total for 2 rooms for four nights was $292.24. That's ~ $36.50/night with taxes and fees.
  9. Checked Hotwire a few times for an upcoming trip to the Rutland/Killington area. I have used Hotwire several times before and stayed at the Comfort Inn which is a great deal for the area. Once I saw the price come up as $38 for the night I booked ($47.75 with taxes/fees). I usually try and book through Hotwire when I am going for this hotel because they have some small rooms with just a queen bed that they will give you if you book through Priceline. As always I used the HOTWIRE link from this site.
  10. I tried for a 2.5* at $55 with no luck so I changed it to a 2* for $52. Total cost for the night with fees is $64.81.
  11. Used the HOTWIRE link here to get the 2* hotel listed with complimentary breakfast and pool for $41. I've gotten it before when it was listed as 2.5* so it must have been re-categorized.
  12. I will be in the area from the 27-30 Aug and am having the same problem. I am just about to book and have decided to stay the night of the 27th at the airport and take light rail in. Then stay in Inner Harbor the next two nights when it shouldn't be a problem. I checked the calendar and about the only thing that I can see is that the Yankees are at Camden Yard.
  13. Used the PRICELINE link on this site to bid on a 2.5* in Amherst, MA for the night of June 4. I bid $50 and it was accepted on the first try. With taxes and fees it came to $63.75.
  14. I got the $5 off offer from PRICELINE and used the link on this site to bid on a 2* hotel in Gorham, NH for the Easter weekend. I bid $40 for two rooms for two nights and got the Royalty Inn on the first try. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $40.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 2 Number of Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $160.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $27.08 (USD) Total Room Cost: $187.08 (USD)
  15. I had the date in the title but it must have been truncated - 8/28-29/10
  16. I have actually booked rooms through Priceline (using the link on this site) at this hotel twice since I stayed there in early July. I always start at $40 and 2* hoping to get the Comfort Inn but it never comes up. I always end up working my way up to $50 and then the offer is accepted by the Holiday Inn. This time I started off at $45 and after a long wait it was accepted. Total price for one night with taxes and fees is $56.93.
  17. I was hoping to get the Best Western Suites since the Holiday Inn was never posted as a win before. I would have preferred the queen size beds and free breakfast of the BW over HI's doubles with no breakfast but it's still a good buy. I bid $58/night for 7/2-7/5 and was accepted on the first try. Total for the three nights - $200.88.
  18. I used the PRICELINE link on this site to search for a hotel in the Burlington area for July 30 - Aug 2. Started by bidding $50 for a 2.5* in Burlington and was rejected. I went to $54 and 2* and was rejected. Added in Colchester (I had forgotten initially that the Hampton Inn was in Colchester) for $58 and was accepted. Accepted Offer - Price Per Room, Per Night: $58.00 Subtotal: $174.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $27.75 Total Charges*: $201.75 That's half the cheapest rate on the Hilton website!
  19. I have checked the hotwire site for July 29 for two nights and they list a 2* with pool and complimentary breakfast for $72. Any idea which hotel it might be?
  20. I bid $40 for Durham, NH for one night (July 29) for a 2.5*. It was rejected. I added the 2* category and bid again and was rejected. Finally I added the Portsmouth area for $40 and was accepted at the Fairfield Inn in Portsmouth. BTW, I have been using your site and links to HOTWIRE and PRICELINE for a few years but never bothered to join and post. Thanks for a great service.
