  1. Well we still can not make a choice, so we have decided to shop around once we get to Vegas. Thanks for all your help. Kind regards.
  2. Hi folks, I am trying to identify this LA hotel for the period : 30th aug - 3rd of sept 09 4-star hotel in Downtown Los Angeles Smoke Free Rooms Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Do you think this is a Westin hotel? Regards and Thanks
  3. Still haven't decided...difficult decision to make. Any ideas on what this could be: 3.5-star hotel in Embarcadero Area Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access same period as before.26th aug for 4 nights regards
  4. Hi there, We are still looking for that great hotel deal for Vegas. Just found this one for the period 21aug-23rd aug Price: $139 p/n 4-star hotel in Central Strip Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Any ideas? Obviously the same dates apply to my previous reply and that 4-star hotel in South Strip is still available. Strange thing is that if I try to book it through HOTWIRE indicating 2adults and children, it is available and also for just 1 room for 2 adults (my parents are coming along). But if I enter 2 rooms 4 adults 2 Children, than it is not available....? Is this because the hotwire system thinks we are looking for 2 rooms with accommodation for 4adults and 2 kids at the same time? Thanks for your speedy response. Best regards
  5. Well seeing as this offer did not really offer a good discount and we still have the time to wait, I looked at an offer on Hotwire today and it said: 4-star hotel in South Strip Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services I'm thinking MGM....do you agree? Kind regards, (I hope I am allowed to carry on in this tread, because it is slightly confusing when you are required to carry on or start a new thread in order to be helped. :) )
  6. The only disappointing thing is the potential discount via HOTWIRE. Hotwire price: $109,- 2 nights Bally's price: $119+$129 Then again any discount is a discount... Best regards!
  7. Aha, thank you. So Ballys or Flamingo.... I never quite fancied the Flamingo. Never really seemed to fit, always seemed more like a Hilton hotel which just happened to be in Las Vegas. I will go over to the Hotel review section to see what anybody has had to say about these two. Kind regards
  8. The reason I haven't entered any additional info to the SF tread is because there hasn't been any change. I assume that the reason for the way you responded to my message is due to the fact that perhaps many people ask for something but then do not tell anyone how it worked out? Rest assure that if and when I do book a Hotwire hotel, I obviously will inform everybody here. After all that's why we are members is it not? :) Anyhow I entered something to this effect in the SF thread. "then bump this thread" ....Well I do not quite know what you mean by this, but I hope my response here is what you meant. So back to the ..."3.5-star hotel in Central Strip" I'm thinking Monte Carlo or Planet Hollywood, do you agree? Thanks and kind regards.
  9. Hi Beav, thanks for your answer. We haven't made the booking yet....still checking all options. :) Regards.
  10. I folks, I found this one on Hotwire.... 3.5-star hotel in Central Strip Casino / Fitness Center / Pool(s) / Restaurant(s) / Business Center / High-speed Internet Access / Golf Nearby / Tennis Nearby / Spa Services I'm not quite sure which one it is, can you help identify it? Thanks,
  11. This time I don't understand your request?I am asking another forum member a specific question in regards to her booking. Also if I start a new thread...how can I ask a specific forum member a specific question. In this case I don't see how anybody else would be able to anser the question? Please explain your request as it seems at odds with the general forum concept. With regards.
  12. Hi folks, I've been looking at a 4* hotel in the Embarcadero Area for some time. This has been priced by Hotwire for 99$ for the last 3 or 4 days. Periuod is the 26th aug for 4 nights. Fitness Center / Restaurant(s) / Business Center / High-speed Internet Access 4.0 out of 5 tripadvisor Based on 260+ customer reviews (Last reviewed July 2009) Do you think this is Le Meridian? The thing is, I just checked the availability at Le Meridian and they indicate only King Size beds rooms. However I clearly indicated 4adults and 2 children and 2 rooms on Hotwire... Regards and thanks for the help.
  13. Hi, I don't mind starting a new tread, but the question was in relation to this tread. Anyhow I made a new one... Regards,
  14. Hi Musicgal, Just curious, did you get/request a room with two beds? The reason beeing is that we are travelling with our kids and you can not choose the beds on Priceline. Hopefully your answer will tell us a bit more about our chances. Thanks and kind regards :)
  15. Hi Workingmom, Workingdad here... :) Did find out which hotel this is? I think I am looking at more or less the same hotek, but a week later for 99$ I sure would like to get the Le Meridian. Kind Regards
  16. Hi folks, I've been looking at a 4* hotel in the Embarcadero Area for some time. This has been priced by Hotwire for 99$ for the last 3 or 4 days. Periuod is the 26th aug for 4 nights. 17. Ok, thanks for your info. I guess you are right and I must admit that I was thinking along the same lines. You suggested longterm parking at the airport, which is a possibility. I found a longterm parking place via www.skypark.com which is more or less the same, but includes an additional safety arrangement for my rental car. Bottom line is that we can now look at staying at a better hotel near Fisherman's Wharf. But in this case I must indicate that the reason for looking for a good but cheaper place to stay is not to save 10 to 20$ a night. I went through the options on Hotwire and found suitable arrangements in the 65 to 100$ p/n, but these all are ex tax prices and ex parking which we have found ranges from around 35$ to 65$ a night ex tax. Then take into account that we travelling with our parents so that means two rooms each night and that for just over 3.5 weeks. :) So you can imagine that saving 60 to 65$ a night makes a lot of difference. :) But I don't want to save money by staying in a dump so I always try to find someone who can report about a motel/hotel from their own recent experience. Again thanks for your help!! Kind regards
  18. Hi, We will be staying there from the 26 till the 30th. There are 4 adults and 2 children (10-13) so we need two rooms. Either one room with a kingsize bed and one room with two queen sized beds or two rooms with two queen sized beds.. Broadway Manner charge about 89$ ex tax and parking is free. So it looks like a good deal but we would like to know for sure from people who have stayed there them selfs. Regards and thanks.
  19. Hi folks, We are looking for a nice and clean place to stay in San Francisco with reasonable or no parking costs. In our search we came accross the THE BROADWAY MANOR INN Has anybody here stayed there recently? Who can give a firsthand review? Any other suggestions are ofcourse also welcome. We are travelling with our kids and my parents. Personally I usually don't put too much emphasis on the state of the property, but in this case obviously I don't want to spoil their first time experience with a lesser quality motel. On the other hand our budget also does not allow for 4 night stays in 120$ + motels/hotels. Regards, Mark
  20. I think that I found out that it is the Trump. Wonder what extra costs they charge... anybody done a recent booking?
  21. Hi JSK575, Did you find out where these condo's were? I have almost the same offer and would really like to know where they are and if somebody know, how they are. Also whether we are going to be charged 45$ a night for parking the car.... So your input is greatly appreciated. Regards
