We usually aim for 3 or 4 star hotels in good zones of a city. I'm hoping to achieve that for 150$ Give or take.

Good Evening, I'm looking some help with my San Fran trip in August. I'm planning on checking in Aug 15 and checking out Aug 17th. Can anyone make reccomendations on which zome to stay in? I'd like to be in a fun area that can be traveled a lot by foot. The rest of the trip consists of renting a car on the 17th and making our way down to San Diego via PCH. We fly home out of SD on the 22nd. So I guess I'm looking for which zome to stay in advice and what price to start at. Also, does anyone have any tips on renting a car? Looking for a convertable for the ride down PCH, but I dont see the need to have it for the entire trip. Thanks for the time.. I love this website!

I wont have a vehicle for my trip. I will be HEAVILY dependant on the Denver Light Rail... I'm wondering if I should hold off on booking since I'm still about 90 days out on this trip..
