  1. Used this site's HOTWIRE link to book a one night stay because I needed to extend my visit by a day and the HI Express Midtown was booked. PricePerNight:$119.00 Nights: 1 Rooms: 1 SubTotal:$119.00 Tax recovery charges and fees: $29.36 Total price: $148.36 Features listed: Breakfast Fitness Center Business Internet
  2. HIExpress on 45th: Nice hotel in good shape, helpful friendly front desk staff, decent hot breakfast and free wireless internet access. Great location close to 5th Avenue shopping and Rockefeller Center. As I've read in other reviews the doors slam LOUD. Very good value for money.
  3. Turned out to be the Holiday Inn Express New York City Fifth Avenue Hotel rate per night - Hotwire hot Rate: PricePerNight: $99.00 Nights: 2 Rooms:1 Subtotal: $198.00 Tax recovery charges and fees: $47.32 Total price: $245.32 Booked using the HOTWIRE link here. 4. OK, let's try another. Same dates (3/11-3/13/10). MTC 3* Hotel showing: complimentary breakfast business center internet Looks like it might be the Holiday Inn Midtown on 57th?
  5. I agree with you - I was just curious. I'm looking for a hotel for those dates that is near MSG.
  6. Coming up for next week at $108 / night with the following amenities listed: Complimentary breakfast High speed internet ...any ideas which one this might be?
  7. I'm not sure about the LDW but my rental was only for one day - my assumption was that it was $9 per day but I have to admit I do not know that for sure. However, a $9 flat fee for any rental seems way too good to be true. I'll be renting same location for a multi-day trip in the future and will check then.
  8. Booked using the HOTWIRE link here. I also purchased the Access America primary protection (LDW up to $40K) for $9. (Hertz price for LDW $27.99 daily; Amex primary coverage $24.95 per rental). BasePricePerDay:$18.95 Rental days:1 Tax recovery charges and fees: $8.51 Total price:$27.46 Same car if booked through Hertz using AAA discount was $38.79 (if prepaid).
  9. Review: typical Courtyard hotel... easy to reach from terminal using the Air Train and calling for shuttle to pick up at Federal Circle station (same spot where you pick up rental cars). Shuttle goes back to the airport on the hour and half-hour. Both times I took it back the shuttle driver dropped me off at the terminal rather than at Federal Circle, which was very convenient. Room was in decent shape, beds comfortable. They swapped out the down pillows for foam pillows with no fuss. Easy trip downtown by taking the Air Train from JFK to Jamaica station then the LIRR to Penn Station. Took about a 35 minutes all told. My flight was too early the next morning to try the breakfast but they usually are less than impressive. I'd stay there again.
  10. Bid yesterday and today using the PRICELINE link from this site. Yesterday bid for 3* in JFK ($50), JFK + Bayside ($60), JFK + Bayside + Corona ($65) - all rejected. Today bid for 3* in JFK ($65) - rejected but offered free bid at $82. Declined and bid for 3* in JFK + Bayside ($72) - that was accepted. Hotel Name: Courtyard By Marriott New York JFK Airport Subtotal: $72.00 Taxes: $14.45 Fees: $8.66 Total Charges*: $95.11
  11. 4 day rental 8/27 - 8/31/09 $49.95 daily unl miles = $199.80 Taxes + fees = $56.72 Total = $256.52 Booked through this site's HOTWIRE link.
