Oops replace one of the Pet Friendly with Smoke Free Rooms.

I actually paid $127 for 2 queen beds, but the listing on the main page was $116 Free Internet Botique Hotel Business Center Pet Friendly Restaurant(s) Pet Friendly Smoke Free Rooms Tennis Nearby Haven't used HOTWIRE in ages... It took a little work since none of the hotels I saw on the list page have 'Tennis Nearby' as an amenity. However, reading the reviews left little doubt as to the hotel I would get, or that the other one I considered had a 99% chance of being the Godfrey. Very pleased with my win. Great price, great hotel, great location! Go Blue.

Using the PRICELINE links above, my first bid of $45 was declined and I was given the option to rebid at $52. I got the Hilton, where I have stayed before - a decent hotel with large rooms.

I was expecting the Omni but am just as pleased with the Intercontinental where I have stayed before. It's close to everything including the train. Booked using the PRICELINE EXPRESS link on this site and I also took advantage of an extra 5% discount with the SUMMER14 promo, which brought the price down to approx. $128/night. This is a great buy for a busy summer weekend in Chicago. ** I wanted to give a post-trip update. I have been to NOLA many times both before and after Katrina and have never been stuck in such a poor location from one of the blind purchase discount sites. It is a relatively long walk to the quarter and is NOT a safe walk at night. The streetcar only comes every 30 minutes and the times are approximate so you never really know when it will be there. Cabs were not readily available at this hotel, despite it's size. The hotel is extremely nice but it's really built as an all-inclusive property for conferences and superdome events - not for vacationers who want to enjoy the quarter. Also, we have found that Hotwire includes both sides of Canal St. in their french quarter zone, but Priceline only includes the FQ side - the other side is the downtown zone. My advice is if you're going for vacation or a fun weekend, stick to the FQ zone. It's worth a higher price for convenience, safety and fun. Also, we have found that we consistently get the best prices in NOLA 2-3 weeks from the travel date.

Bid up to 125 for 4* in the French Quarter with no luck. Started bidding including the downtown area, starting at 70 and got it for 90 a night. Not thrilled with the location/convenience to the quarter, but it is a very nice hotel. For the way prices are heading that weekend we're not complaining. I've been seeing a 4* downtown for 95 on HOTWIRE which I would guess is probably the same hotel. We did the same trip last year on the same weekend and got rooms in the quarter for much less than this.

A busy weekend in Chicago, I went up to 140 on Priceline with no luck. This was a new addition to Hotwire this morning so I gave it a shot, using the betterbidding link. Great location at 105 E. Delaware Place next to the Four Seasons and steps from the Hancock building. Hopefully the hotel is as good as the location.
