Woo hoo! I've been trying to snag the Intercontinental for the past week because I have a voucher for a free night. I've been hoping to add four additional nights, but the Intercontinental wasn't showing up among Hotwire hotels. But tonight I searched again, and the right amenities showed up, so I rolled the dice, and BINGO, got it at $95 per night, plus tax. If you're trying to get the Intercontinental through Hotwire, a few things to note: 1) The Intercontinental will charge an additional 14% fee per night above what Hotwire charges you. This is collected when you show up. 2) This hotel is funky on HOTWIRE. The prices can fluctuate by $10 to $20 by simply going shorter or longer on your reservation, and not all nights are available. I had to try different dates and different lengths of stays to simply get it to show up in the Hotwire list. I got the best price for a 4 night stay. Trying three nights, it wasn't even available. For two nights, it popped back into view but for $12 more per night. 3) The amenities listed in the Better Bidding pinned Puerto Rico Hotwire Hotel list are right on, so pay close attention to them.
