  1. Great property, Holiday Inn Express on Scudders Mill Road. Physically connected to the Crowne Plaza. They actually upgraded my room to the Crowne Plaza side, but I've stayed on the Holiday Inn Express side before, and it's just as nice.
  2. Last August (2014) I was able to snag the 3.5* Embassy Suites in Cool Springs for $67 on a weekend. Tried again at that price on my first attempt, but got stuck with the Marriott instead. Still not a bad price, but I know I could have gotten it lower. Oh well.
  3. Shocked I actually got this hotel since I've been bidding for months on rooms in this area with no luck. But one day before the trip, suddenly not just one room was open, but two rooms. Great price for a great property. I started bidding at $57 since previous attempts in this area were coming back empty at much higher bids. Not sure how much lower I could have snagged it, but happy either way.
  4. Received this hotel on the first bid of $48, following the win reported below for earlier in the month.
  5. Snagged this great deal at the Princeton Courtyard by Marriott. Nice property.
  6. Got this on my third bid, started at $42, went up to $46, and then $51 after adding West Nashville and East Nashville (knowing that those zones didn't have 3 star hotels available). Great price for a great property. I've stayed here before and was impressed (Hyatt Place always rocks). Thanks Better Bidding!
  7. Following the example of the last 4* bidder in downtown Indianapolis, we also did a first bid of $45 for a 4* in Downtown. Accepted immediately. Used the PRICELINE link on this site as always. Thanks, Better Bidding!
  8. Booked two rooms, and started my bidding at $53. I could have gone lower probably, but wasn't in the mood to mess around. Won the rooms on my first bid. Used the PRICELINE link on this site to book. Thanks.
  9. The Hyatt Regency in Princeton is a nice, easy 20-minute ride from Sesame Place. Try taking the I-95 route to Langhorne since it avoids traffic (and a toll) on Route 1.
  10. We love staying at the Hyatt Place in Princeton, and booked it routinely for $38 per night in 2009, but then suddenly they raised their Pric.eline prices apparently. I bid tonight at $39 for a 3* in Princeton West. Price not accepted. So I tried again at $40 (by adding the Cookstown zone... they only have 2 star hotels there, so I knew I wouldn't get a 3* there) and the price was rejected again. Seeing that bids in the $44 range have been going to the Hyatt Regency lately, I noticed that the last successful bid for the Hyatt Place was $48 per night. I added the Mount Holly zone (also only 2* hotels there) and bid again at $48. And yes, go the Hyatt Place as we had hoped. It appears $48 is the new Hyatt Place price point.
  11. Got this hotel on my first bid, at $77, by selecting 4* and only the Capitol Hill area. Total with tax is $98 per night. One downside: Parking at this hotel is a whopping $46 per night. Yes, $46. Though some reviews say there are nearby garages for less.
  12. The amenities shown (for what turned out to be the Intercontinental) were exactly what's listed in the pinned Puerto Rico List here at BetterBidding. Showing on HOTWIRE (when I clicked for it to list ALL amenities) were the following: Resort Beachfront Casino Restaurant Business Center Laundry High-Speed Internet Tennis Nearby Spa
  13. Woo hoo! I've been trying to snag the Intercontinental for the past week because I have a voucher for a free night. I've been hoping to add four additional nights, but the Intercontinental wasn't showing up among Hotwire hotels. But tonight I searched again, and the right amenities showed up, so I rolled the dice, and BINGO, got it at $95 per night, plus tax. If you're trying to get the Intercontinental through Hotwire, a few things to note: 1) The Intercontinental will charge an additional 14% fee per night above what Hotwire charges you. This is collected when you show up. 2) This hotel is funky on HOTWIRE. The prices can fluctuate by $10 to $20 by simply going shorter or longer on your reservation, and not all nights are available. I had to try different dates and different lengths of stays to simply get it to show up in the Hotwire list. I got the best price for a 4 night stay. Trying three nights, it wasn't even available. For two nights, it popped back into view but for $12 more per night. 3) The amenities listed in the Better Bidding pinned Puerto Rico Hotwire Hotel list are right on, so pay close attention to them.
  14. I just successfully booked the Apple Tree Inn in North Spokane for $32 per night via Priceline. Nothing higher than 2 star hotels were available in the north of Spokane, and $32 was my first bid.
