  1. Inn By the lake would get my vote. It is about 2 miles from the casinos where forest suites are right next to the casinos. I drive by Inn by the lake everyday to go to work. The outside is kept up very well. right across the street from a beach
  2. This time of year both South Shore and north shore are very quiet. There are more non casino rooms that are nice on the south side of the Lake. The only 3* on north shore that is listed on BB hotel list is Northstar. nice area very quiet this time of the year but it is about 15 miles from the lake. One thing to remember if you come to the south shore is that the past 3 years have not been nice to tahoe, from the huge fire that burnt down over 250 houses 3 years ago to the slumping econony. you will see many vacant store fronts all over town, while The north shore is much smaller in population and much more like the old Tahoe. If I did not live at the South Shore and was coming to tahoe for a Vacation I would go to the North shore. One last thing the nights this time can be very cold, and the days can be very warm. But the weather is very unpredictable. I have seen snow this time of the year, but today was warm enough to go swimming at the beach.
  3. I would not worry about being on the California VS. the Nevada side. All the hotels on the PRICELINE list in NV are within one mile of stateline. The condos that are listed really could be in any part of town in Ca or Nv. The weekend you are looking at is very slow at the southshore.
  4. first night started bidding for a 4 star at $39.00 went up $1.00 at a time with free rebid. got up to $44.00 nothing was accepted 24 hours later started all over again $45.00 kept going up to $50.00 still nothing was accepted. The only zone that had a 4 star was Westshore. I did not want to pay over $50.00 for a hotel after my cruise so I picked $45.00 as a starting bid for a 3.5. The only zones that has a 3.5 was Westshore or downtown and either one would have been ok with me. My $45.00 bid was accepted. the rack rate starts at $99.00 per night. happy with the hotel (good reviews) good price. And once again I used your PRICELINE link. thanks for a great information Total price 57.99
  5. This is a very old motel that was built in the 60's The grounds are in OK condition. never been in side of this motel. Mid Sept is a very slow time at Tahoe and the rate you got is about what one would pay if you drove here without any reservations if you were willing to check out a few places.
  6. I wanted a 4 star in tampa for the night of 11-14-09 the only only 4 star area is Tampa Airport (TPA) & Westshore first night started at $40.00 kept rebidding with the free rebid zone added $2.00 each bid. after all used up I was $50.00 second night started the process all over again at $52.00 got accepted at $60.00 + 15.09 taxes total $75.09 Grand Hyatt on Bayport drive. I know it is early and the prices might come down but due to different money issues the timing was very good for me. I am very happy at this price. I used the PRICELINE link on your page and the information I read here was top notch. Thanks for everything. Bob
