Upping... (I think hotwire has the grand Hyatt for $193 for this weekend... is it possible to get it through priceline for about 150 ish?)

Prefer 4... but abs. min. of 3*.... (would not mind Hyatt Regency either if price is worth it)

I just checked the hotwire rates for Jersey City and it looks like it would be expensive there for that weekened... (I really likesd the HYATTT!!!).... help me (correct dates should be for the whole weekend not just sat night)

Honestly I'm not very [particular about location, just more so about price and quality....

I wouldnt mind trying downtown first (esp. if I got a chance at gettin the hilton)

Price is more important but preference would be midtown...

I'm not sure why the prices are high but on hotwire there are 181 rates -303 rates for Downtown soho (about 15-20 minutes away average sometimes quicker ussually not too much slower)... Im guessing you might get something cheaper through priceline but with less certainty....

I was just about to book the Drake (great rate) but I actually recieved a confirmed rate at $115 using priceline for the Sheraton New york Hotel and Towers.... I have read MANY mixed reviews so I am not sure if it was a good pick or not? This sounds like a good pick to you guys? Any experiences/tips when checking in (floors etc)? Thanks guys!

I'd be willing to do priceline if Id get equal or greater quality for about same (less) price... I am looking at these too, but if u think there is a strategy that will be helpful I'd appreciate it (not too picky as to brand name as long as enough space and decent luxury at those two areas) Thanx guys!!!

The Hilton is a great hotel for that rate and hopefully you'll get a room with a nice view of the harbor...pleasant stays

Hey guys!!!! I really want to get this hotel (since its one that my gf has wanted to stay at because of the architecture).... Hotwire has it I believe at $185... If ther is a strategy where I have a chance of getting it or at least something as good as it... for a max bid of $150... I'd be estatic... If not the Westin I'd like any 4* and up hotels either in Times Square or Central Park Area (same rates apply)....

I have to be in NYC on sat as my tickts for LION KING are on that day unfortunately... I will be going to the hyatt from Brooklyn...Also the Ritz (by the desrcription) was available last time i checked not on reserve (thats why i wonderd if it was possible to get it at priceline at a lowere value) Thanks ... Is there any last minute bidding strategy I can use on priceline? or is it probable I will not get anything anyway (one of your sponsored company's has the ritz carlton at 349 -although it is not said that it is the carlton u can tell by the description).... Should I try bidding in lower manhattan and see if I get anything at my price? whats ur opinion. PS: Today will be my last try at this since I start my "vacation" tom. Also where can I leave comments about the two hotels I stay in order to help future members

Hey all, Now that I finally did get the Hyatt Regency Jersey City (great hotel), I want to get a hotle for 11/6-11/7 for about 289 and below (i saved 100 using hotwire freeing up a little more money).... I would love to get something 4* or so in lower manhattan, or around 34th street or times square... (since I have the southgate reserved at 209 I would like to get something a little better than this for my second night) Any suggestions????

I was unable to win the hotel from priceline, but did get it at $104 from hotwire!!!!!!! Any suggestions on getting a hotel nicer than the Southgate Towers for my Saturday stay??? My limite is up to 289 and less for the second night........ Thanks for the help and any new help forthcoming :)

Hey, I bid in at 37 (through Savingsbarn) but was unable to get it.... My g/f is having alot of trouble understanding how this works but i will try to have her bid for us and will post the result.

PS: If I get this at 37 or even higher.... I will be extremely happy and might look at trying to get something in NYC for >250 for that night (or staying with the Southgate at 209 (new yorker didnt work out because I didnt get it in time)).... any other safe re-bid strategy's?

if rejected at 37, what should i do?

oh it was actually on hotwire and I think I probablky should stay away from it huh lol im still not losing hope on getting a great last minute deal

:) hmmm..... :) j/p (darn) the hyatt is gone from the available ones on hotwire!!!! and its really expensive on the websites........
