  1. I really needed Chapel Hill, but I went as high as $65 w/out any luck. I tried again with Durham @ $55, then RTP @ $60 before finally getting a room. I did use the PRICELINE link on betterbidding.

  3. Thanks. Do you know if the rebid emails I get from priceline will benefit betterbidding.com or should I start from scratch from here each time? I'm up to $18 so far, but winning bid yet.
  4. The best rate I'm seeing through Expedia is $43 for Payless and $46 for Dollar. I don't want to go above $20, but would if I have to. We don't want to relay on taxis and they would likely run us over $20/day anyway. I gotta get from the airport to Palm Beach, then limited travel during our 3 days and travel back to the airport. The rental is convenience and we expect to save over taxi rides if we get it cheap enough. Thanks!
  5. Tried for $16 for economy and failed. Most recent success I saw on this board was for $13 in January.
  6. I was very impressed with this hotel. Rooms have been recently updated. Room was located near the elevator, but this was no problem to us. We received a 2 room suite with 2 beds in the bedroom with a widescreen LCD. Bedding was luxurious. Bath was spacious, with partition between toilet and sink/counter area and shower/tub. Living room had a sofabed, desk, LCD widescreen, and a bar with minifridge, microwave, sink, and cabinet. While the glassware and coffee mugs were nice, I am paranoid about using re-usable glassware after seeing the hidden cameras on TV/internet, so I wish they used disposables... Room was spotless and everything was new. TV remotes were sluggish, and may have needed new batteries. Room climate control was inoperable and room was hot when we entered...desk clerk offered to check us into another room or send up a technician. A reset switch was tripped on the unit, and the A/C was fixed quickly...but the room felt warmer than the thermostat indicated, but was never uncomfortable. The hotel is located in a business park, and is very quiet. Not many restaurants close by. The staff will provide directions to area malls, which are 10-15 minutes away. The hotel is situated about 15 minutes from either uptown or Carowinds. It is even closer to the airport.
  7. Stayed there once already and it is a fantastic hotel! 10 to 20 minutes from downtown, Carowinds, or the airport. Super nice suite with 2 beds, 2 LCD TV's, microwave, minifridge, sofabed, workdesk. Includes an indoor pool (pretty small, but typical of hotel pools). Spa was down last weekend. Nice workout room with lots of equipment. Friendly, attentive staff. I used PRICELINE link on betterbidding.com to place my bid.
