  1. I can bid on a 2 star hotel, BUT there is no 2 star hotel inside the map boundaries. I've identified several 2 1/2 star properties; Holiday Inn express, Wingate and Hlton Garden Inn. The Comfort Inn 2 star is not inside the map boundaries. What do you think the 2 star is? Or will I get bumped up to a 2 1/2 star? There is also a Staybridge suites- what star level would that be? THANKS.
  2. I won this after a few rejected bids. This is about $20 cheaper than LaQuinta's AARP website price. I used your PRICELINE link. Thanks.
  3. Mid size car. I bid on the larger size cars for $13 and got turned down. I compared to HOTWIRE and got a mid size car for Hotwire's compact car price. :) I used the PRICELINE link. thanks.
  4. Hi- to get started, I looked at Expedia aarp rates. They have the Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista- for $49. and has a free shuttle to the parks. The LBV area is good for Disney. If you don't have a car- be sure to figure in transportation costs with your bid- you will not be guaranteed a hotel with free shuttles.

  9. Thank you for the info. Could it be the Sheraton 4 points? If that approval rating # is from Hotels.com, the Sheraton is 87%. The approval rating of Holiday Inn on the beach is 91%- The original hotwire listing says the hotel has an 85% approval rating.

  11. Just FYI, Tradewinds Island Grand resort fee is $25. per nite. The Sirata is $113 a nite on Expedia and $8 to park. It is very close to Tradewinds IG
  12. May I offer my opinion? Clearwater Beach has the Hyatt as the only 4* hotel and you are going in the prime vacation season. There are two 3 1/2 * hotels reported, the Hilton and Marriott Suites. Have you researched if those would be acceptable, it's really only a 1/2 * difference and would improve your odds of getting a winning bid. You could try a low bid just for the heck of it and work your way up. On Expedia, the Hilton Clearwater beach is $190 avg for your dates. You should also consider booking a room now that is totally refundable. Good luck.
  13. Won on 3rd bid, worked my way up to $49. Third time I've won this hotel.--it is a very nice property with hot breakfast. I know to use your PRICELINE link-thanks for all the help.
