  1. Used your PRICELINE links. Started at $75, was offered an immediate rebid if I bid $87. Instead, bid $78 and won. Offer Price:$ 78.00 Rooms: 1 Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: US$ 156.00 Taxes & Fees: US$ 27.26 Total Charged to Card: US$ 183.26 The price on other sites: $120/night FYI, Plantation and Sawgrass are combined on Priceline, but having the breakdown on BB is fine. I was pretty sure I was going to get this property based on the BB info, and it's a great location for my trip--thanks BB! Then bid on a rental car, compact at airport FLL. Won Alamo at $17/day, total $59.97 for two days. Would have been $95 total direct from Alamo.
  2. used the PRICELINE link from this site. Started at $70, went up in $5 increments with rebids. Great deal; other sites showing $185 and up. Room Subtotal: $90.00 Taxes & Fees: $19.90 Total Charged to Card: $109.90
  3. $90.00 $19.86 taxes and fees $109.86 total Wanted 4* in Downtown, Tech Center, or Broomfield. Bid $75, $80, $85. At $85 got message if you bid $104 we'll let you bid again right now. Continued by adding $1 with rebids, finally won at $90. Rooms are going for about $199. Used betterbidding PRICELINE links. Information on this site is great!
  4. Offer Price: $170.00 Rooms: 1 Nights: 2 Room Subtotal:$340.00 Taxes: $59.76 Fees: $17.62 Total Charged to Card: $417.38 In late September I was trying every day: MTE 4* because I wanted to try to get the Grand Hyatt. I started at $140, for MTE then I would add Central Park South, Empire State Building, MTW, and Times Square because these were acceptable as well. With about 5 rebids, I would go up in $5 increments to about $165. I wasn't getting anything, so I started upping my starting bid and by early October I was starting at $170 going up to $195 for a 4* and starting at $150 going up to $175 for a 3.5* and not winning anything. I hadn't bid in a few days, and I just started at $170 because it looked like anything lower was a waste of a bid, and on the first bid I won the W. I wish I had started lower, but the going rate is over $300/night on my nights for this hotel, so I got a great deal. I used the PRICELINE link above. Thanks for the great info!
  5. Used the PRICELINE link on this site. This was for TWO rooms... Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $55.00 Subtotal: $110.00 Taxes & Fees: $23.20 Total Charges*: $133.20 Bid in these zones; added a zone each time: Tech Center South Cherry Creek Downtown Tech Center North for rebid Entered bid of $40 and was warned that there was almost no chance of winning, so changed bid to $45 and was warned there was little chance of winning, but went forward anyway. No win. Bid $50 and was given the option to bid again immediately at $65. Bid $55 and won.
  6. Always used the PRICELINE link from this board Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $240.00 Subtotal: $480.00 Taxes & Fees: $108.00 Total Charges*: $588.00 Started bidding in early November to stay in these areas: Central Park South Chelsea Downtown/Soho Empire State Hell's kitchen Midtown East Midtown West Times Square Used: Brooklyn Coney Island Long Island City Madison Square Garden Upper East Side Upper West Side for rebids (UWS is 4*, but used it as kind of rebid because winning there would be fine) Generally bids went $180 to $240 for 4*, then switched to 3.5* starting $150 to $220 Last couple of days bids went $210 to $260 for 4*, then switched to 3.5* starting $200 to winning bid Started getting "We'll let you try again right now for $45 (or $50) more" at $240 for 4* and $220 for 3.5* Winning bid of $588 is a little underwhelming because it's possible to book on regular websites for about $650 total. In the past, I've gotten screaming deals through priceline. The info on this web site is invaluable. Thanks!
