  1. It might not be that the property lowered the price they sell to Hotwire, but Hotwire lowered the price they sell to the customer. Either way, I'd say your ID guesses are about as good as you can do, with the Marriott being another possibility.
  2. And Alpharetta is pretty far from the Airport... roughly 35 miles depending if you take the connector or go around 285. That said, I think I was confusing Alpharetta with Duluth in regards to the Mall of GA comment.
  3. Were the amenities the same (indicating the same property)? And did you receive a lower price WITH children, or WITHOUT? It's unlikely the price would be lower with a higher occupancy, but possible if loaded incorrectly or through some other quirk.
  4. Hasn't been reported... I'm curious exactly where the shuttle runs to. Mall of GA?
  5. I used to buy it regularly, but the first time I tried to use it was when my pregnant wife was having early contractions. Even with documentation from the hospital she was admitted to and her OB, they denied the claim saying her pregnancy was a pre-existing condition. :) Ever since then I've avoided it and if I miss 1/10 stays, I've already saved WAY more than I've lost compared to refundable reservations.
  6. Changing the occupancy can sometimes (though not often) be used to reveal different (more expensive) properties within a given star rating and zone. If the Sheraton and the Hyatt are both listed as 4* in the same zone, and the Sheraton sells to Hotwire for $70 for only double occupancy, but the Hyatt sells to Hotwire for $80 regardless of occupancy, you could effectively skip over the Sheraton to the Hyatt (assuming you can identify based on amenities) by changing the occupancy used in the search. I'd say this is a somewhat rare occurrence, but if you have time to play with multiple searches, it never hurts to see what you can reveal.
  7. It's not an exact match for either, and the number of properties in the area make it very hard to speculate on anything that hasn't been reported. There are some much safer bets in the 3* and 3.5* categories, especially in the Maingate-Celebration area if you're looking for something close to Disney. That said, if you're looking for complimentary breakfast, your options are much more limited.
  8. Reviews look safe, clean, and a pretty standard airport 3*.
  9. Looks like either the Crowne Plaza or the Westin Diplomat (not The Diplomat Country Club & Spa) which show the same amenities. If you saw "Boutique" listed in there anywhere, it would more than likely be the Diplomat Country Club & Spa.
  10. Is the beach going to be your main POI? If so, the Crowne Plaza is on the way to the beach from the Diplomat, so your friends would be walking in your direction. The Diplomat has been reported with the following, so if you see these exactly then it would be a pretty safe bet: Resort Boutique Restaurant Pool Fitness Hi-Speed Internet Golf Tennis Spa Otherwise, both properties get very good reviews with the Diplomat being geared towards golf/spa and the Crowne Plaza geared more towards beach activities. The Diplomat might be a little more luxurious/peaceful/secluded given its Country Club designation. I'd say it all depends on what your friends activities will entail and how much time will be spent either on-property or going to-from different locations.
  11. I've stayed at the Clarion you mentioned and it's not a bad property, but the Four Points is MUCH better... one of the 3* gems in the Orlando area that I'm sure Hotwire will eventually bump up to a 3.5*. Congrats!
  12. Sorry, that's the one I saw for $70 above... didn't notice the No Smoking added in. According to Google Maps, it would be about a 1 mile / 20 min walk from the Crowne Plaza to the Diplomat, and a bit further from the Westin (same amenities) to the Diplomat.
  13. UPDATE: I ran the search after you posted the dates and it looks like an unreported property. I'm seeing 4.0 from tripadvisor and $70/night given your dates. The Boutique tag makes me think it's the Diplomat Country Club, but it almost looks like The Crowne Plaza or Westin with the Boutique added in. Tough ID, but should still be a very good property. Even if it's unreported, I don't think you can go wrong for the price.
  14. Are any more amenities shown when you click the "See All Amenities" in the main listing? If so, does it also show Tennis and Spa? If so, it may be the Diplomat Country Club & Spa with a new "Near Beach" amenity listed. Regardless, a 4* boutique resort with that high of a Trip Advisor rating is a very safe bet, especially at that price. Good luck!
