  1. Bid on first try; $58.00. With taxes and fees: $74.13. I used your PRICELINE link; many thanks for the resources. This is a really nice hotel; so clean, renovated, and quiet on upper floors.
  2. Original bid was $69.00 for 3 star in adjacent region only. Denied. BUT offered to rebid at $135.00!!! Of course, I said no, and added Lincoln Southwest (one of only two regions in Lincoln) and increased to $78.00. Bid was accepted. 6/28/12 Holiday Inn Lincoln Southwest 2500 Tamarin Ridge Road, Lincoln, NE 68512 Room Subtotal: $78.00 Taxes & Fees: $20.59 Total Charged to Card: $98.59 Sounds pricey for three star, but Omaha was packed (denied 6 times with highest bid $82.00) so went to Lincoln. I used the PRICELINE link! Happy bidding everyone.
  3. Woohoo! Our first bid of $65 per night was accepted for two nights! $156.64 after tax + fees. Thanks betterbidding.
  4. Fist bid of $70 rejected for 4 star Newport Beach. Then added Seal Beach (no four stars in this area, so it was a free bid) and raised bid to $75.00. Accepted! Fairmont Newport Beach, CA 4/23/10 - 4/25/10 I also used the PRICELINE link in betterbidding! This site ROCKS! Thank you previous poster!
  5. Thanks for this winning priceline hotel post! I did the same thing (and used the PRICELINE link of course) and bid $70 as my first try. Then I added Seal Beach (just like the other poster) and raised the bid to $75. ACCEPTED for two nights starting April 23. Thank you for posting your strategy...it really helped guide me with a course of action in order to stay in Newport this weekend!
  6. Thank you, thereuare, for posting this valuable information. After fruitless attempts at bidding for June 26-28 in Milwaukee, I chose to follow this winning priceline bid for Chicago O'Hare. My wife and I are flying into ORD, and it's actually a convenient location. I'll just have to drive a bit further the day of the wedding, but the 4 star Hyatt for $41 is a steal. I used the PRICELINE link to make my bid, and it was accepted on the first try. Thank you everyone! By the way, I got the 4 star Hyatt Chicago for $60 a night for June 28-July 1. I'm so glad I discovered this site! Louie
  7. This is my second day in a row trying to bid in Milwaukee downtown and North. My last bid for 6/26 - 6/28 was declined with for a $70 bid. I don't understand how there are so many accepted bids for a lower price. Any suggestions?
