  1. First bid of $70 for this region only was accepted. Used your PRICELINE link--thanks once again! Sorry, forgot to post dates the first time & don't know how to edit the title. This is for 4/10-4/12.
  2. Was hoping for the Carolina Inn! $60 was my first bid. Should've started lower. Booked through the PRICELINE links on this site, thanks.
  3. Amenities are the same as ever: Restaurant, Fitness, Business. It is also a Customer Favorite and here's a tip: in one of the customer reviews, a savvy traveler has said that the beds are "heavenly" (referring to the Westin's "Heavenly Bed"). I also had to book a single room for myself on 7/14-16 as I am staying longer than my coworker. I had no trouble getting the Westin again, this time for $149. Many hotels in that area are sold out 7/14, which may account for the price difference.
  4. I think it was right at $240. She's a fairly virgin Hotwire user so I wonder if that affects the price people see. BTW, thanks for moving my post to the right thread! I was so excited to get a new hotel listed here that I wasn't paying attention.
  5. I just helped my friend book this hotel for June 15. The only amenities listed are "Shuttle" and "Restaurant."
  6. Thanks--I didn't try $125 for all 4 nites as that was outside my emotional price range! I decided instead to use the last of my Starwood points for the 25-27, so I'll have to switch hotels but it shouldn't be too much of a hassle. I'll post a review of the Marriott when I return.
  7. I started out at $78 for a 5* and had worked my way to $102 for a 4*, which got rejected. Finally I changed my dates (checking out 3/25 instead of 3/27 as originally planned) and my first bid was accepted at $125. If I'd been more patient and started my new bidding lower I might have gotten a better price, but I'm okay with this.
  8. Location: On E. Wacker Drive, just south of the river and about a 3-minute walk to Michigan Avenue. Only potential drawback is that aside from the restaurants in the hotel (which include an outpost of the Palm) and at the Hyatt next door, you are a bit out of the way from all the dining/shopping across the river. It's not far, but if you like to be right in the middle of the action you might be a little disappointed. Service: Fine. I was only there for 2 nights and had minimal interaction with the staff, so nothing stood out either way. I was offered an upgrade for $30 at check in but turned it down. Room: Huge! Great north-facing view of the river and the Tribune/Wrigley/Hancock buildings. Bedding was quite comfortable, though the mattress was nothing special. Lighting was good. Carpet and other finishes were contemporary, clean, and did not show wear. I loved the bathroom--separate tub/shower units, large vanity. Bathrobes seem to be standard issue. My only problem was locating an electrical outlet to plug in the iron. Stay: Quite good. I would definitely go back.
  9. Sorry, I should have been more specific before--it was late and I was tired! Yes, the hotel is listed as a Customer Favorite. The complete amenities list is Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Tennis, Spa. I'll post a review after my stay.
  10. Just returned from a great 6-night stay! I had the largest room I've ever even seen in San Francisco. Finishes and furnishings were in fine shape. No problems at all with service or billing. There's a decent fitness center.
  11. I'd read a few negative reviews about this hotel on other sites but I was completely satisfied with my stay. I was on the 16th floor of the East tower on a Priceline stay. I had a King bed in a fairly spacious room that had obviously been refurnished in the last year. The padded headboard, loveseat, and bedside lamp sconces were all nice touches. I used the fitness room which was well-stocked with cardio equipment--treadmills, recumbent bikes, ellipticals, and stair steppers. There are several restaurant options, including a Connie's Pizza if you want deep dish without having to leave the hotel. The location was great, just south of the bridge and a block or so off Michigan Ave.
  12. My first bid of $90 (my first every Priceline bid!) for a 4* in the Loop was rejected, so I upped my price and added NMA. Others seem to have gotten much better prices at this hotel so if I had just bid for NMA I think I would have had a lower bid accepted.
  13. Booked today. Accepted my first bid. Total cost is $560 so taxes and fees total $80 for 6 nights. I'm new to Priceline so I'm probably overbidding!
